DEMETRY'S POINT OF VIEW
There was an insane calmness. So calm I knew my soldiers were starting to get restless. The minutes were winding down but they were on their way. My father was coming, I could already smell his horrid scent. The wind was also getting rough. There would be a storm sometime during the battle.
I glanced at the vampires behind me and then to my left where Felecia stood next to me. She looked petrified. I stared at her with confusion. Her eyes were wide with alert and fright.
"What is it?" I asked, scanning the horizon.
"I was wrong."
"What do you mean??" I questioned. Now we could hear the footsteps of my father's soldiers.
"There are 13,000instead of 12,000."
"Felecia!" I gasped at her while still trying to maintain my cool.
"I know, it's going to be bad." She mumbled. I lowered my gaze and tone.
"Then we need our allies to come in order to even stand a chance at victory." I said and she nodded.
This time my own eyes could see the enemy soldiers all dressed in black clothing and armor. Although they seemed small from a distance, I knew this was going to be a tough battle. Soldiers behind me began to growl and hiss at the opposing soldiers. I too felt a charge of hate and anger.
I turned around to face my white clothed soldiers with one swift motion. Felecia did the same.
"Know matter how many we face, we must prevail." I stared to say. The vampires held up their weapons and agreed. I began to pace slowly in front of them with slight frustration. I thought about how outnumbered we were.
"I want everyone of you to watch out for every vampire dressed in white! We can't afford to lose soldiers! If one of us goes down then we kill three more of them!" I snapped. They all glanced at me seriously. They were either scared of my words or petrified with how I said it.
"But," I went on, this time with more compassion in my tone. "We have a reason to fight, we have a will! We need to fight to save our families, homes, priests, and priestess! Our drive and determination will cut us a path to victory. Have pride when you fight and for damn sakes, don't leave any of those who appose our peace alive!" I yelled with pride. Once I finished, all of them roared. This caused a huge echo that swept all the way across the calm lands and into the mountains. Although I still had doubt, I wasn't about to give up.
My father's soldiers were near, although he was not in front of his army to command like I was. He was to much of a coward to do that. I fight with my soldiers, just like every leader should. That is another reason why he should not rule the Twilight City. He forced everyone else to do his dirty work.
It was unusually quiet. I could only hear the howl of the fierce wind and gripping of war weapons.
But then it happened. The black soldiers went in for the kill. I charged with my soldiers as well and pulled out my thick inch sword. We would collide together into a cascade of death. I closed in on one of the soldiers and leaped into the air. I then plunged my sword into this chest. He was to slow and I was faster, so I killed him instantly. My white soldiers plunged into fighting soon after me.
I landed onto the ground and tripped another opposing vampires as he ran towards me. After I tripped him with my sword, I shot another vampire with my hand gun. I lunged my sword and stabbed the soldier on the ground. As I did this, a black clothed soldier swung his sword at my head.
Felecia came out of nowhere and blocked the attack.
"Hah! To slow!" She laughed at the soldier and flung herself at another near by. I smiled and kept up my attacks. We were holding up for now.
The battle was dragging on long and hard. It was constant beating and killing. My father's soldiers kept pouring into the Calm Lands. It's tiring but I never take a break. By now there were missiles and gun ammo flying across the twilight sky. But, the wind was making if difficult to aim our weapons. And, my hair was constantly blowing around my face. The storm was becoming worse. Although I felt no drops of rain, I knew it would only be a matter of time before they fell and the vicious sky let out a howling storm.
Although I was holding up, I was losing my soldiers. One by one they would fall into ultimate death. We've been able to stand strong but the numbers of the opposing force was vast. We were getting desperate and we were getting pushed farther and farther back.
"Demetrious!" Felecia yelled over the howling noises of war while she plunged a soldier into the ground.
"What!?" I asked, defending myself from another soldier's blow.
"We can't keep this up!"
"Don't worry! Everything will be fine!" I managed to say. Once she killed the soldier she walked over to me.
"O, and I suppose something will just fall out of the sky and help us?" She snapped, letting her anger out on me.
Before I could say a word, a huge silver plated arrow plunged into the soldier I was fighting. After a few more seconds I saw even more arrows plunge for their prey. They were all over the sky now. Most of the soldiers began to cover themselves with their shields.
"What the hell!?" I heard a white soldier ask next to me.
I quickly turned around and gazed at the mountains where the arrows were coming from. My eyes widened. I had to blink twice to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. Even from a distance I could make these creatures out.
"Forest Vampires!" I said and Felecia's eyes widened with mine.
"Gabriel made it! He's here!" She practically screamed at me with happiness.
The giant violet and blue skinned vampires with large bodies and pointy ears came running onto the Calm Lands, waving their bows in the air fiercely. It wasn't long till the forest vampires were fighting side by side with us. I didn't think we had a chance, until now.
Gabriel came running towards us with a young violet haired vampire. I could tell right away that it was the Forest Princess, Salina.
"You're back!!" Felecia said happily and ran to him not carrying if she got murdered in the process.
He pulled her into his arms and held her tightly. They had such a fierce connection with each other it almost scared me. I knew they've missed each other.
"Alright, break it up already, we’ve gota realm and a worldto save Gabe!" The young princess snapped.
"She's right! Any news from Alister and Carmela?" Gabriel asked. I shook my head no. I hated them being so far away. Gabe nodded before speaking once more.
"I wouldn't be surprised if they found and murdered each other on their way home." He said but hopefully he was very wrong. As much as they always disagree with each other, I knew they wouldn't fool around at a time like this.
A group of black clothed soldiers came towards us. Gabriel instantly pulled out his guns and began to shoot, while Felecia, Princess Salina, and I used our swords.
It wasn't long till Forest King Rudo, and Queen Enyasia were fighting along beside us. They were the biggest and mightiest of all the Forest Vampires.
The battle lingered on and on. But, not once did I find my coward so called father or brother.
NORA'S POINT OF VIEW
"Nora?" I heard Nero say may name. It took me a while to respond. Something wasn't right. The war was happening and it made my stomach twist and turn with pain.
Nero kneeled next to me with the same defeated emotion.
"Nora….we need to escape." He said weakly.
"What's…the point?" I asked. The war was happening and it was already over for us. I couldn't stop it in time.
"There….is always a point." I heard someone say, it wasn't Nero though. Both Nero and I turned our heads behind us and saw Kage. He was sitting up in a resting position while letting out heavy breaths. Kage, alive?! This doesn't make any sense.
"Kage, what….what's going on. How are you…alive?" Nero asked him. Kage slowly stood up on his feet.
"…..Lucian, took my powers and in a way he did kill me." He said but both Nero and I were still confused. Kage started to wobble in his place. Once his knees stopped buckling he went on with his words.
"He took my immortality. I am nothing but a mortal now…" He said while glancing at his hands. He had lost his vampiric glow now that I looked at him more closely.
"Is there any way to get your immortality back??" Nero suddenly asked more upbeat since Kage was still alive, now more than ever.
"…..Yes….only if Lucian is killed. I can drain my powers back into my body and be a priest again. But, that would be suicide for me because I am mortal now….a human, ugh, no offense Nora." He said but I only nodded.
"We will get it back. I promise!" Nero told him.
I didn't say anything to back him up. No words could come out of my mouth. How can we kill a creature like him?
DEMETRY'S POINT OF VIEW
"Gabriel, Behind you!!" I yelled to him once I saw a black soldier coming for his head.
Gabriel quickly turned around and shot at him.
The war was getting worse. In fact, more and more enemy forces were coming onto the Calm Lands. Boats were starting to line up by the shore line. The enemy was trying to use the sea as an advantage and it was working. The Forest Vampires helped keep the battle going but now I knew my father was trying to finish us.
"What are we going to do??" Felecia asked over the fighting voices. I glanced out at the sea.
"We need to cut off the enemy supply ships!" Gabriel yelled to me. He was right! By doing this we can still defend ourselves!
"That's suicide!" Felecia snapped.
"We have to, Gabriel, come with me. Felecia, you stay with Salina and the King and Queen." I said. I knew she didn't like what I was doing. She was giving me her angry/worried face. Usually that face would let her win and have it her way but I can't this time.
I asked the soldiers next to me for their bazooka guns, which they were shooting off at enemy groups. They gladly handed them over. I handed one of the giant guns to Gabriel. He took it with a smile on his face. After all, he was the ultimate gunner. I held the gun over my shoulder.
Gabriel and I started to run towards the sea. The enemy ships started to shoot missiles at the Calm lands from their boats.
"You're father has quite the army…" Gabe said.
"Yes, and there is no doubt that he will have another idea up his sleeve either." I told him as we past through the trees. I wasn't sure how I was going to do this.
"Any ideas of our own?" He asked. I pondered while glancing out at the sea. Their were a total of 12 ships in the water. There was no way I could take them all out but I could at least get one.
"Aim for the closest one." I said and he nodded. The closest ship was letting more enemy soldiers onto the beach. I needed to cut off that line.
"Ready?" Gabe asked me and I steadied myself with the huge gun. I nodded and we both pulled the triggers.
The missiles went flying into the sky. Gabriel's missile hit the ship first and damaged the engine while mine hit the side.
"Score one for Gabriel!" He said and laughed as the ship started to catch on fire.
It wasn't long till the other ships spotted us and aimed their missile cannons. A missile shot out and was coming straight for us.
"Run!" I screamed but Gabriel pulled my trench coat.
"Wait! Look!" He snapped and pointed off at the water.
A huge wave began to build up in front of the beach. The wave stood up to 100 feet high! The missile was stopped and engulfed into the wave! I watched in awe as the wave lowered and the water returned to normal. A few seconds past and just then, the missile came shooting up from under the water and plunged into one of the ships, blowing it up completely.
A rushing wave came towards the beach soon after. We watched as the water tumbled onto the sand and revealed a figure.
"Carmela??" Gabriel asked.
"The one and only!" She laughed and threw up her hands into a pose. She was dressed like a MerVampire, minus the fish tail. Shells covered her pale chest and she wore fish scale Capri's that hugged her legs. She had thick shell armor over her shoulders and leather boots.
"Perfect timing!!" I said and she ran over to us. We both gave her a hug.
"Yeah, Yeah, save all the compliments for after the battle! Let's go kill some demented vampires already!" She said and pulled out a sword made of metal and coral.
"What about the sea?" I asked. All three us of turned towards the waters.
"The girls got it covered." She laughed.
A MerVampire came jumping out of the water and onto one of the ships in the distance. After that, 5 more jumped onto the ship as well, all carrying weapons.
The ship next to them caught on fire and more MerVampires jumped into the water. Six of them popped their heads out of the water and waved over to us. Carmela waved back with a smile.
"Wave back….and smile" She mumbled behind her teeth.
"Why?" Gabe asked. She stepped on his foot.
"Just do it!" She snapped so both of us waved to them, while Gabe eyed Carmela for hurting his foot.
"They are all pretty much in love with you two morons so act nice and they will keep on helping us." she said. Gabe and I exchanged glances and then saw the Mermaids blow us kisses, Queen Mera was there as well. I blew them a kiss for the hell of it. Hopefully they would fight by our side even longer.
"Nice role play." Carmela laughed.
"Alright, let's go back. They can handle the seas now." Gabriel said and we all nodded. All three of us left to finish the battle in the Calm Lands. Now we had the upper advantage!
