Chapter 12
Ok that was weird. Aspen had an argument with her mom.
“Aspen are you alright?” John asked.
“No I am not.” Aspen said.
“Sis everything is going to be ok.” I said.
“I hope so.” Aspen said.
“Aspen lets go home.” John said.
“Ok, see you guys later.” Aspen said.
“Bye.” I said.
“Layla would you like to get married now?” Edward asked.
“Yes.”I said.
So I got married to Edward after Aspen left. I am now a 15 year-old who got married to a 16 year-old. Edward was a great guy. I wish I never dumped him.
“Babe, do you want to go back home?” Edward asked.
“Yea, sure.” I said.
So once we got out of the church we got back on the horses. We then started heading home.
“Layla I love you.” Edward said.
“I love you too.” I told him.
When nightfall came we stopped the horses and started making camp. I was sitting by the campfire when Edward came by me.
“What’s wrong honey?” Edward asked.
“I am stupid. I dumped you because I thought you were cheating on me. I get lost in the woods. I find Aspen. I broke her curse. I dated Toby. Toby is a killer. What is wrong with me?” I said crying.
“You’re not stupid honey.” Edward said.
I grabbed Edward’s face and started kissing him. Edward’s hands were moving down my back and they stopped at my waist.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Nothing.” He said.
We then begin kissing again. My hands were locked around Edward’s head and his hands were on my waist. Then I felt his hand move up to my chest.
“Edward, not here.” I said.
“Oh come on.” Edward said.
“Fine.” I told him.
That was a weird night. We are still working our way home. When we finally got home I went straight to bed. Edward was following me.
“Whatcha doing babe?” Edward asked.
“I am going to take a nap.” I told him.
“Oh, is it alright if I go and take care of the horses?” Edward asked.
“Sure go ahead, just be careful.” I said.
“Ok, talk to you later.” He said.
I got in bed and started falling asleep. I was having a great dream, and then it turned into a nightmare. I woke up screaming, then Edward came running in.
“Baby are you ok?” Edward asked.
“No, I am not.” I said crying.
“What happen?” Edward asked.
“Codey broke out and is coming to get me.” I said still crying.
Edward came over to me and started cradling me.
“I won’t let him hurt you again.” He said.
“Ok.” I said.
Now I have to worry about Codey, this is not going to be fun. Codey wanted to make sure I would be dead before he moves on, so this is not going to be fun.
“Don’t worry about it ok, honey.” Edward said.
“Ok.” I said again.
We both walked out of the house to be surprised.
“Well, well, I get to see Layla once again.” Codey said.
“I want you to leave her alone.” Edward said.
“That can’t be arranged.” Codey said.
“Codey I want you to leave me alone.” I yelled at him.
“No, not in till I kill you.” Codey said.
“Over my dead body.” Edwards said.
“Over our dead bodies.” Aspen said as they were coming up.
Aspen had John and Reed with her. John came up by me.
“Everything is going to be ok.” John said.
“I would like you to try and kill us, to get to Layla.” Reed said.
“That won’t be a problem.” Codey said.
“Oh yes it will.” I said.
I started charging at Codey and I had a knife in my hand, I then stabbed Codey right in the lungs.
“What…the…” Codey tried saying.
“Layla are you alright.” Aspen asked.
I was on my knees crying my head off. Edward came over by me, and started cradling me.
“Everything is going to be ok now.” Edward said.
“Good work Layla.” John said as he was coming over.
“Thanks.” I managed to say.
“Well done sis.” Aspen said.
“Well Layla you killed Codey, so now you and Aspen both will be safe.” Reed said.
“Well I won’t.” Aspen said.
“Why?” John asked.
“Well I still have to deal with my mother.” Aspen said.
“What you don’t like me?” Gia said.
“Oh, when did you get here?” Aspen asked.
“Just now.” Gia said.
“Um Gia could I talk to you privately.” I asked.
“Layla what are you doing.” Aspen asked.
“Nothing.” I said.
“Sure follow me.” Gia said.
I started following Gia.
“What do you want to talk about?” Gia said.
“I don’t want you to get mad but I think you should lay off on Aspen.” I said.
“I know.” Gia said.
“Aspen does love you, but she also loves John. It would be nice if you could let
her eat, drink, and sleep again, she would love that.” I said.
“Ok, thank you for talking to me. I really love it. If you ever want to talk to me call me mother, ok.” Gia said.
“Ok, lets go back.” I said.
