Chapter 18:
(Gerad’s point of view as April got shot)
Bam. I heard a shot gun. “What do you think that was?” A guy from somewhere asked. After I look around at scared faces of millions I try to remember how we all met on the way here.
*Flash Back*
After I woke up I heard Gabriel scream. When I ran out of the tent I saw Gabriel hugging Mom. “What the?” I ask looking around at thousands of people, who I later found out were werewolves, in a circle looking at my group who were now out of their tents. “What is all of this?” Kella asked shocked. “We were looking for June and April as you all. We thought you would still be at the tree house looking for her scent. So we started off looking for them with all of the pack soldiers of the U.S.A.” she said putting her hands up to show everyone around. “So these are all werewolf soldiers from the U.S.A. just her to find the princesses?” Jinnah still shocked. “Yep.” Dad said. “So we are going to work as a team?” Mom asked looking at the soldiers around us. “Of course.” Said a man who speaks like he is from Texas.
*Now*
“Do you think we should’ve sent in April after June asked for help?” Mom said regretting what just happened. “I think so. She is her sister.” Gabriel said looking at Mom and then me with a weak smile. Which I did back. After a few more minutes I saw a wolf with red hair come out holding a limp blonde pup in her mouth. “April!” mom yelled then ran over to the pup that the red wolf dropped in mom’s hands. Then I saw the red furred wolf turn into my mate. “June!” I yelled. Then I quickly ran to her and she dropped into the safety of my arms. “Hey Gerad.” She said with a smile. “I am so sorry.” I said looking down at her with tears in my eyes and going over my cheeks. “No need to be. You only did it for your family.” she told me with a faint smile. “I would.” I said looking at me with a faint smile, and remembering what she asked me four years ago when we were at the waterfall. “What?” she asked faint and confused. “Four years ago, you asked me if I would do anything to save my sibling or someone I cared for. And my answer is yes.” I said giving her the best kiss we have ever had in these past four years. “I’m glad.” she said faint. “Hey June.” Said Mick standing over my shoulder. Then I saw the rest of her friends standing there. “Hey guys.” she said closing her eyes. “June! Don’t leave me!” I yelled with more tears rolling down my face. “I would never leave you.” she said closing her eyes at the last kiss that we made, which made sparks fly. I then started crying hard. Then a few of the soldiers took Princess June and Princess April away from my moms and my arms taking them to an ambulance. When we got to the Pack house of Louisiana we were left in the room where they both were laying down in what the doctor called was a coma. When we were aloud in me and Aaron were quickly at our mates sides. “How will they be doctor?” Mom asked in a weary voice. “Well April was shot a few inches from the heart, but since she was a werewolf at the time she should heal in two days. Other than her coma which we don’t know when she will wake up.” Said the doctor. “Thank god.” I hear Aaron mumble. “What about June?” I asked looking at the girl doctor. “Well she was shot in the head as a werewolf so that should heal in three days, but she was shot as a human in the foot and some of the bones are broken, so we need to do surgery on that. Then she also had a knife stuck in her side.” she said. “Oh my god!” Gabriel cried. “And she was human, so that should heal in a week. Then the same as Princess April with the coma.” She said nodding her head. We all thanked her for her work and said she will be sleeping in a room two doors down if anything goes wrong. “My little princess.” I said stroking some of her hair out of the bandage that was covering her forehead.
