Chapter 23:
(After six years)
"Gerad, where are we going?" I asked trying to peak through the blind fold, while he took me to someplace. "You will see." he said. And I can tell he was sminling. When we finally stopped I heard water. Then Gerad took my blind fold off. "Why are we at the waterfall?" I asked looking around. Then I saw Gerad standing in front of me on one knee. "June Makkena Gar, I have known you for ten years already. And even if you are my mate, I think of you as a friend also. But not just as a friend but as family." he said. I smiled with tears running down my cheeks. "And I wanted to know, would you marry me?" he asked taking out a beutiful pearl ring. "It's my birthstone." I said looking at it. I then looked at Gerad's grinning and yet serious face. I nodded my head. "Yes Gerad Cole Were. I will." I said jumping into his arms. I could feel a smile on his face and tears running into my shirt. "I love you." he said as he put the ring on my finger. "I love you to." I said giving him a kiss on the lips, which made the most sparks that we had ever had.
