Chapter two - Escape

I ran. My chest was tightening. They were catching up--the werewolves. I choked, I couldn't breath!The full moon hung lowin the sky. Oh, no. The cliff up front. I stopped at the edge. The werewolves surrounded me. One ofthem stood up.

"Hand it over!" he growled.

"Never!" I snarled, I backed up, butthere was no where to run.I whistled. Suddenly, there was a howl from my griffin. Hedropped down from the sky. Ileaped onto him.

"Get them!" yelled the werewolf, butthey were too late. We werealready flying toward home.

Everything had been happening so fast. I still remember the time when I was trapped in the darklord, Anubis' horse's soul. I was hopeless, just like the others. Then, there was light in the darkness--a hole. We climbed out of the hole--it was still dark outside,almost dawn. A beautiful young woman was standing there, with a sword in her hand. I still remember this place, the forest.She told one ofher guards to lead my soul to my body. I followed him, they're beautiful. Finally we reached my body. I noticed thefamiliar face. It was me, lying on the ground. I lie down, into the body. I was human again. I sat up. The woman broughtus back to her castle. A castle in the underworld. Later, she introduced herself.Her name was Emilia. She was the princess of the underworld. After discoveringthat her father, Anubis,is evil, she left him. Anubis also made her broke up with Fang, thevampwolf. Now, Anubis planned to destroy the world, that includes humans. Making adifficult decision, she had to fight her own father, to protect humans and other kinds. She made me a warrior, after trainings, of course.

Now, I'll fight to the death, no matter what it cause. The werewolves were once part of ours, but they betrayed us. Those traitors! They're now on Anubis' side.

"Emilia!" I called.

"What?"

"I got it!"

"Where?"

"Here!" I handed her the stone. "Yes!" she exclaimed.

"What's so precious about this stone?" I asked.

"This," she replied, "Is a dragon egg."
