All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy;
for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves;
we must die to one life before we can enter another.

-Anatole France

Planet Earth, the only known planet in the solar system (that we know of) to hold life, but is it truly what it appears to be? This amazing planet that bears life?Legends speak of an evil that will envelope the Earth every two light years, that is when light and night combine togethercovering the Earth in shadows. In those brief moments, a portal opens, releasing the forbidden powers of the Night, forever cursing those who love on Planet Earth for years to come. Like Pandora's Box, these Shadows will bring destruction across the land and terror will be apparent in the hearts of those good and evil.
There's a little place in the Northern Hemisphere where children play in the streets and gypsies dance the night away. The small town lies deep within the mountains next to a stormy sea. It's camouflaged by the mountains and found when least expected, but there is no other greater surprise than to find the
Castelul în Orientul Mijlociu"Castle in the Middle". The buildings are covered in ivy and moss, and in the centerof town is where the castle is et. It's towers watching over the cities liveliness. Afamily with hearts made of gold live within it, ruling the land with an iron fist covered in velvet, they are the Mona family. The streets are paved with gray bricks and potholes are found scattered across it. The plants stay green through Spring and turn brown through the chilly Winter. Many festivals take place during the year, fire eaters light up the night with their crazy antics and gypsies dance with snakes to the Snake Charmer's tune.Dew from the Ivy leaves would sparkle like little stars in the night as they copied the stars from above.The town stays hidden at night as the stars glow from above, reflecting in the calm sea. It's a place where knights in armor will rescue the damsels in distress and when all seems lost and forgotten, fireflies will fly through the streets along with faeries to sing and dance and to bring joy to those who only feel pain. This is the only place on Earth where snake charmers and vampires, gypsies and queens, werewolves and shape shifters all come into harmony and it is the only place where the portal opens. By day, the sun's burning rays creates a mirage and a town appears only in the heat of the Western sun and a castle is seen standing tall upon its peak. It's the end of winter and the beginning of spring, it's still cold but all life is blossoming. And that is the time when allanimals and creatures every sizecome out of hibernation and all the plants are an eternal evergreen and bloom with life, turning the land a beautiful rainbow, but great evil is on its way. The Shadows are gathering at the edges of the horizon, it's arms stretching out to devour any unfortunate creature. The castle has been built and the stones have been set, the wall has been risen to reach the sky, and the moat has been dug to reach the core of the Earth, but will it be enough to protect the city from this great evil?
