When I woke up the coming morning as the sun touched the fading rim of the night’s realm. I looked for Trianna not wanting her to roam around getting into trouble without my watching her I searched frantically around the room. In till I woke up a little more and realized she was curled up right beside me completely asleep. I smiled then ran my hand down her leg. She twitched and moved her leg, it was astonishing how much she reminded me of my sisters cat at home, who was always attached to me more than her.
A maid walked in I don’t think she expected me to be awake but quickly shook away her shock curtsied. “Good morning Lady Ember.”
“Morning.” I said lamely.
“Would you like to eat breakfast?”
“I want to see Kyah.” I told her standing, Trianna glided onto my shoulders.
“She is resting.” She told me.
“I will help her rest. If you don’t help me find her I will and still help her. As long as no one has touched her ribs I can easily mend her.” She looked at me stubbornly, then realized her place compared to mine. She sighed and turned toward the door.
“This way Lady Ember.” She said, I followed her. The rest of my palace looked exactly like what I saw yesterday. I was wondrously beautiful; even if it was a recurring pattern it was beautiful. The young maid led me not to far from my room and opened the door. Kyah was lying on her back with three ladies in white around her.
They looked from Kyah’s bruised and pattered abdomen to me and quickly moved away from her. She didn’t move I didn’t expect her too. I walked over to her and her eye lids fluttered open. “Ember?”
“Kyah don’t talk, I’m going to fix you like I fixed your leg. Just stay calm; I’m not sure how I did it the first time.” She looked at me and her eye lids closed again. She took a couple deep breaths and relaxed completely.
If I meant to be what you say then at least let me help her like I did before. I thought to myself. I called to my Fire and my hands and eyes began to dance in my Fire. I centered myself and placed my palms onto her abdomen my hands shimmered gold. She sucked in a breath and her muscles tightened. “Relax, almost done.” I told her. When my shimmer faded I ended my Fire looking at the results. She had one crack and one fracture, and all that was left now is bruising which were quickly fading away. “Better?” I asked.
“Yes, thank you.” She said.
“Why did they hurt you?” I asked.
“They asked me what I knew of you, they beat me. But I didn’t tell them anything. Now how did you do this exactly?”
“The first time it was complete intuition and this time I think I thought about it and it’s what I came up with. Just calling my Fire, which we both know where that is linked to.”
“It’s just another gift?”
“Yeah, at least it will come in handy.” I wobbled and slowly sat on the bed.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“Nothing. Nothing, I think it took a lot.” I turned to the maid who watched me help Kyah. She looked astonished but I really can’t help it. “We are in need of breakfast, hurry before I’m asleep in till tomorrow morning.” She quickly exited the room.
“I think people are going to figure out what is about to come, Ember.”
“What do you mean?”
“It would be hard enough to hide the news of a new Fire Master let alone one legend to become the Fire Goddess.”
“Have there been any other Fires who could command people, heal people or have Amber blood?”
“Yes but not all together and none for Amber blood. Ember like everyone says you are the Jewel of the Fires. The have been none like you in the past and none like you in the future. I think we need to get you to Element Castle before anything bad happens.”
“Galahad already is on his way to bring the Masters.”
“The Masters?”
“That is what he said. Though in all the pain you were in I can understand not remembering.”
“Did he not think I was enough?” She asked herself.
“I don’t think he believed I could actually heal you.”
The maid brought our breakfast then hurried out. Kyah and I ate mostly in silence; I could tell she was feeling better. She finished before me and was deeply focused into her thoughts when I finished.
“Ember, how about we train? We are safe her and we have a few days, even on Celsia it will take a few days.”
“Ok!” I said. “Are you up to it?”
“Perfectly fine now thanks to you.” She said. She stood and went to her bags; I had forgotten we had any after the boat. Sunfire and Beast must be in the stables. She pulled out her sword. “Go get Phoenix.”
I walked from her room into my room and grabbed my things. I realized that we might not actually spare with our swords but having them there just in case made me excited. I wanted to know how to use my Fire other than just saving my life. How to make it an art, that’s what I always wanted on Earth, to make everything beautiful, artistic.
I turned toward the door and Kyah was waiting, “Well? Are we doing this today of not?” she mused. I laughed and then followed her to the training grounds.
Once we found our way there through the many different paths to take in my gigantic castle, I’m going to get lost for a while. We settled out things on a bench. Kyah told me to stand in front of her but about ten feet away from her.
“First we’re going to see how long you can sustain a single flame.” She lit a flame; it was blue like the sea.
“Why is your fire blue?” I asked be withered.
“Why is yours a rainbow?” She said. I didn’t understand every time I seen my fire it was reddish orange like it’s meant to be.
“What?”
“You heard me.” I looked and to my astonishment my flame was a rainbow. Each color liked at each other making one smaller in till it was reborn at the bottom.
“That’s wicked!” I said.
“What would you know, Ember as a prized flame.” She said.
“Every time I’ve seen it it’s been red or orange.”
“Everyone starts out like that; the color takes effect when you grow more used to your Fire. You’re healing abilities most likely spiked the growth of color. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the colors bleed out though.”
The entire time we talked my fire stayed lit. Kyah’s flame went out at least two times and mine sustained. She didn’t grow angry or anything she just said, “Good job Ember, I think that’s it for today tomorrow we will be using our swords. Maybe one day I can teach you how to wield a blade with your Fire.”
“That sounds wicked! How would you be able to do that?”
“When you’re ready I will show you.” I nodded we walked inside, ready for noon lunch and a nap. Trianna glided to my shoulders she had plenty of fun chasing butterflies, and learned an important lesson that they don’t taste good.
Trianna glided to the bed once we reached the bedroom. And I climbed into bed. The lesson wasn’t hard but I was taxing. Kyah said soon I will be able to keep it going longer and without so much energy drain. I can’t wait till then, but in till then I will slip into the unknown after every practice guarantee. Which is what I did after my first practice, fell right into the unknown.
