“Ember, Ember, Ember!” I heard Trianna whispering to me. She growled deep in her throat. I knew that meant something was not ok.
“What is it?”
“I smell someone, not too far away.”
“We’ll quit growling or they will come and investigate what animal is over here. Let’s get going we’ll eat when we get farther away to Flaming Lake.” I climbed onto Trianna’s back. “How did you wake me up? Suns not up for another hour.”
“I am linked to your mind Ember.”
“Just don’t tell Kyah.” I laughed.
As the sun began to rise we began to dive. We landed in meadows that looked almost like the Fields of New Beginnings. We were close enough to the trees to hear anyone shuffling around and a pretty general out look of the entire meadow itself.
“How much longer until we reach the castle?” I asked.
“Maybe another two or three hours before the sun rises to the center of the sky for sure.”
“I wonder who go into my head Tri. It’s been bothering me.”
“I wonder who it was also. All I know is that whoever it was had to have been in Darkness.”
“Do you think-?”
“I think it’s possible. They might not be happy with your arrival just like the masters are still wary of you.”
My mind went into a lapse turning everything that had happened in the last several days come into account. Leaving nothing unturned or any feeling forgot, and at one point I felt to pain the Hell Bender gave me. How slowly the people of this world grew to be nice to me even if they didn’t like me.
As I climbed onto Trianna’s saddle I thought about how much I would miss her if I didn’t have her here with me. On Earth a dream to never come true now in Unhillia a dream that is lived every day. I placed my hand on Trianna’s warm scales.
“Hey Tri.” I said.
“I love you too Em.” I smiled and we shot to the sky. We headed toward the volcano that Galahad had brought me to my first day to Unhillia. Only a few more hours to Element Castle and I have a feeling that I have more tests a head of me. Oh great. Until then happy sailing through the skies with my dragon, my Guardian, Trianna.
