As the sun melted into the sky I woke. No one was in my room and sat up in bed. My head felt like it weighed nothing and like I needed a few more days of sleep. I thought about what I did yesterday. Then I remembered. I took down every master, even the non-masters. I won each of my tests. Was that good though? Was I a freak, or did every one of them do the same think as me?
What did I do at the end? That light, did I do that? In the middle of my thoughts the room’s energy changed. I felt the energy swirl in tell a single orb was made, then the energy pool became faster and faster, the orb only growing bigger. It began to glow and take shape. Then the energy ended just as fast as it began. In the wake stood a woman with golden eyes and black hair, her gown seem to pour of her like living energy.
“Hello, My daughter.” She said to me. “I am the Fire Goddess.”
“Uhm, hello…” I said smart like.
“For a young master from the other world you truly belong here.” She smiled at me. “Every master owns a gift from the Goddess’ here is mine.” She held out both hands. She seemed to hold leather tied in three places keeping the leather from moving. “It seems you also need another gift, you are a one in a million. To find what you need most look for the island with a fork and travel to the center there you will find the think you need most.”
My face seemed stunned. The Fire Goddess in my bed room, two gifts and one don’t even make since. “Thank you.” Is all I could think to say.
“It was no problem at all dear none at all.” And the beautiful goddess was gone just as fast as she came.
I looked down at the gift that didn’t make my brain hurt. I unwrapped it and inside laid a sword white as the first Christmas snow. The hilt was made of true black leather. At the tip of the hilt rose a single ruby flame, which flickered like a flame in the light.
As I am admiring my new blade my door opens, in comes the Masters and the Spirit Spokesperson. Ok even being here a day I knew there was something about that. They all looked angry and on a mission.
“Oh your awake.” Saphire says. “Your wanted in the arena Head Master asked us to get you.”
“What is that?” Shade asks.
“What- Oh this is my sword.” I said.
“That’s not possible. A sword or any weapon shows its true name in the hands of the owner. And I don’t see a name.” Raine said. As she finished her sentence another bright light swarmed around me except this one wasn’t caused by me. In a golden flame the words marked in gold said ‘PHOENIX.’
“How’d you get it?” Isis asked.
“That’s impossible!” Amaya exclaimed.
“Well apparently I am wanted by the Head Master and I am not used to this place yet will someone please show me the way?” I asked completely ignoring they’re questions. They sighed and left my room.
“I’d bring your sword.” Raine said, as she walked out the door.
As she showed me the simple way to get about the castle. There were many people who came to us and told us hello. Some fling above us even some having a game with their elements. One even gave me a red rose, my favorite flower. As we entered the arena the others had already arrived.
“Aw Miss Ember,” The Head Master said. That’s what all the principals said before I got into trouble. One day and already in trouble. Great.
