Age of Chaos

Chapter: 37: A Piece of Paper

In a forest north of Cornell’s Castle lies a mansion surrounded by….trees. The mansion’s lord has gone away for some time, leaving two maids to watch the place. A maid called Alto and another named Monica. They take a break and play in the forest, when Alto stops and looks up at a tree. She sees a piece of paper rustling in the breeze. “Monica” Alto yelled, “There is a piece of paper stuck in that tree.”

“Why should I care?” Monica replied.

“It could belong to master.” Alto said.

Monica takes down the paper, opens it and starts it to glow. What Monica has in her hands is the missing Internat Treaty. “This cannot be master’s” Alto said. “It looks way too old to be his”

“Whatever it is” Monica said, “It is creeping me out, just listen to this”

Monica reads the treaty out loud to Alto, “All humans shall live under harmony with the eyes of the lord. All nations will live as one with each other in peace. With the Titans of Justice to watch over you all, they shall protect you as long as this treaty is in a safe place. However, if this treaty is lost or falls into the wrong hands, death, crime, and destruction will erupt an age of chaos for which none has ever seen, watch this treaty and they shall watch over you.”

“This paper looks important, what do we do?” Alto said.

“This paper says if this treaty is lost, it must be reinstated at the prolific alter in Amuzari.” Monica said, “We have to take this paper to Amuzari.”

“Amuzari?” Alto said, “But that is a really long way from here”

“We could always take one of Master’s cars” Monica said.

They enter a car and drive out of the forest into the wasteland. “All right Alto, when we reach Amuzari. We take that paper and place it on the alter it talked about, got it?”

Alto looks out the window and sees one of Bron’s robots in the distance. It fires rockets at Cornell’s Castle, destroying it. It continues walking into the city of Koitu, where five of Kyoteru’s Amuzarian soldiers have waited for orders for the past five years. The robot steps on buildings, shoots at civilians and fires rockets at monuments. Alto is speechless. “Alto” Monica said, “Just don’t look back again; there is nothing we can do for them.”

“Please Monica” Alto said, “Just drive faster; it looks like this paper can save them all.”

As they are driving along the wasteland, they see Amuzarian Military vehicles drive past them to deal with the robot. As they drive by, they see Carabe and Rachell on top of a tank. Alto and Monica wave at them, Carabe waves back and Rachell raises her gun and yells in excitement.

Only several hours away from reaching the great marsh, Alto and Monica drive towards their destination.
