Eradonia
The interior of the building was even more beautiful than the outside, the floors and walls depicted suns of great beauty and prowess. The floors shone with the pure light from the sun going through the glass roof, giving this place a sur real feel.
Walking to a large door Kotani pulled the sun shaped handles and there sat the leaders. Surprisingly enough they looked like they might have come from Newman’s world. Dressed in business suits there sat two men and two women.
The men had bare faces and short trimmed hair, the woman had circular earings and wore navy blue suits. They motioned for him to sit down in the desk in the middle of the room, where they could all see him clearly.
Sitting down on the sun shaped chair he asked without thinking of the possible laws of this place, " What’s with the suns? You worship the sun or something?"
He had been rude, he had not introduced himself and not let the leaders initiate the conversation. He had come for help and was already being a bad guest, he only realised it after his words were out.
But they were not offended, the nearest leader, a black man in a black suit replied, " We do not worship anything, the sun is our source of power. The sun protects us from the many dangers, so in a manner of speaking we do worship the sun I suppose."
An oriental woman continued from where he left off, " To be more detailed, Eradonia is a world of pure magic. The sun keeps away our foes, the army and assassins of Lunarite. They would not have any power but like them, the moon is a deceiver."
" It covers the sun and blocks our power, even for a short amount of time. For a while, in those hours of darkness we were nearly defenceless against Lunarite."
The woman beside her finished, " But we built the sun wall to protect us, no one of the Lunarite army can even touch the gate without perishing. They cannot go beneath it or above it. That my young man is Eradonia."
This was interesting but one thing was on his mind, Newman asked more respectfully, " What if it were somehow damaged, what keeps the defence working if the sun is blocked by the moon?"
The only leader who hadn’t spoken answered this question, " Did you not notice the spiralling towers on your way here. They suck in the sun’s energy and feed it to the gate, some of it goes directly and some of it is stored. Therefore at night there is sufficient solar energy to power our defences even as the vile moon blocks the holy sun."
Wow, they were talking solar power here. Eradonia, a world of magic and war and many wonders, and they were using solar power. Although it was much more than that, it put a smile to Newman’s face. But then a horrible idea struck him.
He asked in a concerned voice, " What if the towers were somehow rendered useless, would Lunarite’s soldiers be able to attack?"
There was grave silence, but none of the leaders answered. There were loud footsteps and in came the tallest man Newman had ever seen. Standing a whole 8 feet tall he was as anime as they got.
Bald as Lex Luthor he wore very ornate armour with suns depicted on it, he was extremely bulky and on his back was a huge sword that looked more like a long slab of stone with sharp edges.
He had the darkest skin he had ever seen and his eyes were flaming with flames from the sun. There were literally flames in his eyes, his teeth were pearl white and to top it all off he wore black iron boots.
He spoke in a thunderous voice, " I am the embodiment of the sun, if what you said ever happens I will destroy them. Now come and tell me your tale little one, follow me. Its almost night, you will see the power in work."

There stood the wall, tall and mighty looking. From what Lunarite had told him none of his people could go past it. But Charlie was a hybrid, he could do whatever he wanted. He was at an unguarded section, with surprising ease he jumped over the wall and landed in the land of the sun.
His strength and agility had increased so much since he had his new powers, anyone in this place could get such powers. It floated in the air, there for the taking and Charlie had quickly learnt how to take it.
It was dark, the half moon was out giving a little bit of light but not enough for him to be detected. He wore a moon mask to cover his face, his silver hair blowing up slightly as the relaxing winds hit them.
He wore dark blue armour, with a black trench coat over it. All bearing the sign of the crescent moon, his eyes had changed with the moon. Half moons replacing his pupils, everything was as clear as day.
His mission was quite clear, destroy the spirals using the neutral technology Lunarite had given him. Reaching in his bag he held it, it was supposed to be a bomb but looked more like a pound cake normal moms made for their normal kids.
But he had never been normal, as the old Charlie would have said, he had always been whacked. He silently walked through the streets, the towers were right out in the open. These sun people were very arrogant, Lunarite had such towers but they were concealed very well.
No one stirred from their sleep, the sentries walked the wall, some went around in the city but they were not very vigilant. This town was so boring, but he didn’t care about this place. Finally reaching the towers he placed the explosives and set the timer.
This brought back memories of him watching stargate sg-1, how they always blew up the enemies with their c-4. It had been the only science-fiction show Charlie could tolerate, star trek was just too much of a leap.
This world would have been too much of a leap if he hadn’t seen it himself, the time was two minutes. That left him plenty of time to get out, that’s when he heard that very familiar whining voice. " Who are you? What were you doing at the spirals?"
Charlie turned to him, tilting his head in an angle to size up how big of a danger he was. He couldn’t have recognized him with the moon mask so Charlie grabbed him by the throat and began to lift him off his feet.
Newman struggled to catch his breath as his legs ran in the air in a futile attempt to escape his grasp. All Charlie had to do was snap his neck, one simple squeeze and he would die. This fact pleased him, his hunger for power was present after all, and the power he possessed at that moment was the most he’d ever had.
He wanted to enjoy it, as Newman ran out of air time seemed to freeze. The perfect minute, there was no noise and all was clear, no detail could escape his eyes in that minute. And the moment was suddenly ruined as he was forced to dodge an attack.
The large sword swung over him with incredible speed and force, but Charlie managed to drop Newman and roll under it, putting some distance between himself and the attacker. There was less than a minute left, he had to get out of there before the explosions occured.
Kotani stood there, Charlie stood up and faced him. Sword drawn out they circled each other, sizing each other out and trying to find each other’s weaknesses. That’s when Kotani went for the attack.
That was the mistake, his eagerness was his weakness and Charlie spotted it right away. He may have had less training but he was far superior, not moving he let the blade come less than a millimetre from his neck.
Kotani was going for a kill, one sweep and he would be decapitated. Or so was the plan, once his entire body was into the motion of the blade Charlie, powered by the moon moved at an extreme speed. Tackling Kotani full force right in the chest, sending him flying through the window pane of a house 100 feet away.
Newman looked at him and ran to see if Kotani was ok, Charlie took this chance to run away. Going back to where he came from he jumped unto the wall and waited for the explosion.
And then it came, just like in the movies it was big and it was loud. The fire elements within escaped from the confines of the bomb, releasing a tremendous wave of energy. A second explosion followed as both towers were hit by the explosion and began to crumble down to the ground.
The explosion hit some houses nearby, fire engulfed the village as debris was sent flying and fell like rain on the panicking people who had gone outside and were now seeking cover. Shards of glass flew like deadly daggers, cutting and even killing some people as they ran in fear.
His first mission was a success, with this done the gate would have no power during the night. None at all, which would leave them wide open for attacks, and of course they would set up a defence.
Post some guards and train more soldiers, maybe even make more sun soldiers but the more sun soldiers they made the less soldiers would be able to assault the Lunar base. Lunarite had his own defence, a gate preventing any sun soldiers from coming.
Even the least powerful with no clear powers would not be able to make it past the gates, so Charlie ran back to his base, because he knew with this done there would be war. And he knew he would get a thrill out of war, lots of people to kill in war.
