Now I suggest you begin reading this; the only way to walk away from this story alive to read it from beginning to end. I know what you’re thinking, what if I don’t? Then you will have broken the only rules and well sadly I must use my powers in a terrible manner. I really hate to do that for not finishing my story. Read every word; don’t even think to skip a single paragraph. I may interrupt to tell you some important things. Or I may interrupt for clearing up possible mix-ups. Especially don’t skip these areas because I am talking in these areas, and I watch you as I talk. If you follow these rules then life will be fine, and if you don’t...you know what will happen.
Chapter 1:
I looked up from my notebook, which was filled with scribbles and not notes. Mr. Hensay seemed to be staring me in the eye with his, well, dark black eyes. Yes, his eyes are really black. In the beginning of the year he came up with a stupid story saying that they turned black after 24 years of smoking. I hope he didn’t really think we were that gullible.
“Miss Dephnor, can you explain to Ben what we did in class today? He just came in from the attendance office.” I heard his voice boom, maybe even to the next room.
“Uh, well Ben, we are listening Mr. Hensay, and taking notes on what were talking about…”
“Can you explain what were talking about in class, Kiley?”
Yes my name is Kiley Dephnor. Don’t make the mistake to pronounce it Dept-nor, or I’ll hunt you down and eat your for dinner. It is pronounced Deaf-nor.
You are probably wondering all about me or maybe not…but I feel it is important for you get to know me before you read my story. Okay, I have blonde hair, I’m 5’8”, and I am in love with—no one you’d know. There’s is my full report on me. I hope you got a lot from it. This part of the story is quite simple. I have a stupid teacher.
“Kiley? Hello? Earth to Kiley!”
My eyes blinked and I quickly came out of my trance. Just as Mr. Hensay was about to tell me to go to Principle Dyken’s Office, I blurted out a teachers most feared words.
“I—I don’t feel so good.” I said it like I was about to puke my guts out. Apparently he believed my fake excuse to get out of class, and I ran towards the bathroom. Leaving behind my scribbles, which if decoded revealed my secret crush’s name. If only they knew my language.
I fake sick to get out of class. I know my commentary is unnecessary considering the beginning is very, uh, normal. You’ll need it though.
I ran past the angry hall monitor who asked me for a pass. I ran and ran until I got to the girl’s bathroom. I was home free, unless Mr. Hensay called the nurse who would be expecting me to come in to the nurse’s office all dazed and smelly.
I opened the door and ran into the stall which had a PERFECT window in it. As I locked the door and made a fake puking sound, someone said my name in a whisper; it was coming from behind me. When I first looked back I saw nothing. Slowly but surely something began to appear.
Something, I’ll never forget, appeared in the stall. I was fully aware of who this was, but you’ll have to wait. Remember you must come back for more, or a terrible “accident” will occur.
