I stepped out of the misty bathroom, my skin tingling from the change of temperature. I looked to livingroom and saw only Sebastian. "Where's Teddi and Stephen?" I asked, padding to the kitchen. I got myself a glass of water and leaned against the counter, watching Sebastian. His dark eyes found mine as I pulled the glass away from my lips.
"Teddi wanted to get to know Stephen, so they went to town." Leaving us alone, I finished in my head. I nodded, acknowledging I heard him. I took another drink of my water and turned toward the fridge. Sebastian's hand shot out and slammed the door shut. I turned around and our hips were touching. I looked up at his face. His eyes had grown darker and drifted to my lips. "You know," he whispered. "It's been a few weeks since I last kissed you."
"I know." I said. "Not that I was counting the days, like yourself." I mentally patted myself on the back for the quick comeback. I pushed my free hand against his chest. "This isn't a good idea. Stephen would be mad if-" His lips fitted over mine and I lost my train of thought. I felt the glass slip out of my hand, or did Sebastian grab it? Sebastian grabbed my thighs and brought them around his hips. My arms wrapped around his neck as he moved us against the counter and his hands grabbed my hips.
He dipped me back as he deepened the kiss and his tongue slid silently in my mouth. My blood was pounding and the world tilted. I broke the kiss to get my bearings. Sebastian's eyes were black, his lips red from mine. I lifted my hand to my mouth and felt the heat. My eyes never left his, his hands tightened on my hips and he leaned his forehead against mine. "Ariel. We are alone too often. Every day you live here, I want you more. Each kiss, each touch, drives me crazy. I find myself wishing you were in bed with me." His eyes were closed and his hands losened. "Ariel." It seemed almosta plea. I rested my hands on his shoulders and nudged his head up with my own,
He opened his eyes, his lashes long. "Stephen wouldn't like that." I said, laying my hands on his face. "He also didn't like us running away." I scooted forward. "And, I have this thing against authority." I crushed my mouth to his and felt myself melt against his body. He picked me up and carried me to his bed, the dark quilt falling around me. I took his shirt off, my hands seaking -a finding- the spots that had him shivering. My shirt, a button up, posed a problem for him.
"This," he mumbled against my lips, "Is a problem. Women don't usually wear them." I smiled, but didn't move to on to it. With skill, Sebastian had all the buttons undone and the shirt sliding off my shoulders. I got on my knees and threw the shirt to the side. Sebastian kissed my neck and ended at my collar-bone. He paused and clicked on the bed side lamp. "What's that?" He asked, his thumb skimming the scar that curved around my breast and ended at the side of my neck.
I pushed his hand away. "It's nothing." I said, getting up. The shirt was a ball of plaid sitting in the corner; I raced to it, the tank-top seeming inadequte, to sexual. I had bent over to retrieve when Sebastian tossed me onto his bed. I bounced to hault just before my head slammed against the wall. "What the hell, Sebastian?" He was kneeling on the bed, pushing the strap down. The scar wasn't a large one. It looked more like an old burn.
"Where did you get it?" he asked me. I just looked at him. Not wanting to talk about my scars, or past. "Ariel."
"No where, Sebastian." I said, trying to get up. He pushed me back and tears sprang into my eyes. "It's none of your business where I got it!"
"You were about to have sex with me. It is my business." His voice stayed calm, but there was a threat underneath the even tone. I didn't cower, I just saw on his bed and waited for him to give memy shirt and left me leave. I had a feeling that wouldn't be until I told him the story. I looked away from him, my cowardance showing through. He grabbed my chin as it wobbled. He forced me to look into his eyes. "Ariel, please tell me where you got this scar." His voice was soothing, the Irish accent making me want to do as he said. I shook my head. He rubbed my arms. "Ariel. Please."
"Why do you want to know so bad?" I asked him. He kissed my forehead and I felt my heart melt. Only Stephen had ever kissed me there. My resolved melted and I knew I'd tell him.
His eyes held mine, growing dark and serious. "Because, I'm attracted toyou."
