I opened the door for Teddi. "I don't see why you have to leave." Stephen said, grabbed her bags. I didn't say anything. I didn't really like her. Sebastian stood behind me, his hand resting lightly on my hip, out of view of Stephen.

"I have to get going." She answered. "I have a friend in Europe who is about to give birth, and she needs someone there." She gave Stephen a peck on the cheek and grabbed her bags. "I'll be back next summer, to say hello. Hopefully, you'll still be here." She climbed into her car. Sebastian left my side and went up to her. Stephen and I hung back.

"Do you like her?" I asked him. He didn't take his eyes off Teddi, and neither did I.

"Yea, I do."

"How much?" I asked.

"I don't know yet. She was only here about a month." I nodded to myself as Sebastian and his sister embraced. I never really got to know her, do to my dislike of her. Sebastian slapped the hood of the car and waved. So did I and Stephen. Sebastian walked back to us. He kissed my forehead and I kept my eyes on Stephen. He wasn't looking at us, so I figured we were safe.I gave Sebastian's hand a quick squease.

"I'm going to go for a walk." I said.

"Do you want me to join you?" He asked. I shook my head and walked off. Sebastian's house was surrounded by woods. Huge oak trees toward over me and pine trees rooted themselves where ever. The sunlight trickled through the leaves and swayed when the wind blew. I had walked a feet meters into the forest when I heard footsteps.

I whipped around and saw no one. I kept walking, my ears more alert. I didn't hear anymore foot steps so I took a right and kept walking. I felt the wind lift my hair and was relaxed. Sebastian was a vampire. The thought sent shivers down my spine. When I cut my hand two nights ago, it was obvious they were both vampires. But they could walk in the sunlight and eat garlic. It didn't make sense, with what I was lead to believe.

I stopped and leaned against a tree. Sebastian said I was The One, that I was giving him his humanity back. What the hell did that even mean? I closed my eyes and looked up to the sunlight, feeling it's warmth.

"My, my." came a rich, british accent. My eyes flung open and I stared at the intensly handsome manin front of me. His hair was golden, his eyes blue. He was dressed in Golf attire. "What do we have here? A wandering human, I presume?" I stood my ground, remembering I was pressed against a tree. The window blew and he stuck up his nose. "My, my, you smell delicious. What is your name?"

"A-Ariel." I stumbled over my words. He had to be another vampire. "W-who are y-y-ou?"

"Now, that isn't important. What's important is you look mighty tastey" Suddenly his face was in my neck. "Mine if I, have a bite?" His teeth sunk into my neck and I screamed. His hand flung over my mouth.

I felt my blood seep out of the wound and down my shoulder. I squirmed, but he pressed me harder against the tree. With his free hand, he trapped my wrists and pulled them above my head. He nudged my head further aside to better get to my neck. I started to thrash as hard I could. He pressed me against the tree even harder, but I kept fighting.

I had one thought, I was going to die, right here.
