The Introduction

Long ago in the land before logic existed 28 gatekeepers. Each Gatekeeper controlled one of the 3 dimension, The Dimension of Emotionality, The Dimension of the Physical, and The Dimension of the Beyond. Now at this current time you may be thinking to yourself that this sounds stereotypical. And yes, it is to a degree, but stereotyping is that once the Human race was divided into five separate races, much as they are today however we have logic and thus magic doesn't exist to make-up for flaws in each of the races and that these Gatekeepers were the pinnacles of power, and God rarely had his hand in the day to day occurrences. Much like a technician with a server-monitoring program, he makes sure everything is working correctly and lets it run its courses and though they were assigned to keep the world in order, only one actually did his job, and stereotypically ironic it was the one who controlled hate, war, and Anubis (gate of undying wars), named Sinith.

The five species are obvious, Normal, Elf (which nowadays are considered to be anorexic), Dwarf (Midgets), Troll (NBA), and of course Mutant, which back then were called, Shade. These races have been explained thoroughly in each and every story, but I will give you the explanation that the Gatekeepers provided. The Normal have all traits but are proficient in absolutely nothing (and that also means that they are not special unlike most books that like to base it off of it), Elves are proficient in elegance and beauty but horrible in attachment and (though others disagree very much) face-valued wisdom (a.k.a. common sense). The Dwarves are proficient in money and merchant making, which explains the crafting and mining abilities, (once again, though others would like to disagree) they are horrible and long-lengthed wisdom (foresight) and combat. The Trolls are the best at raw-defense and are actually made for war. The Shade are of course their opposite.

Now my little testament to history begins with not him but basically his sidekick (and I know that your going to think it rather lame), Tommy. You see, the Gatekeepers, weren't created all at one time. No, in the beginning there were five, much like the elements, and Sinith came after (which is a story that's quite interesting in itself) and Tommy almost immediately after him and sadly you get to find out what he becomes, you ready? Well, here we go then.

The Beginning

The clouds were dark and grim the day of Tommy's birth, the weather hadn't stopped with its barrage of constant storming for weeks. The road were becoming flooded and so not many attended the The High Witch of the Shades and here peasent husband. The High Witch was not a wealthy person though her title says othwerwise. Witch's were looked down upon, mainly because it undermined the power of men and they couldn't have that in an already unstable empire of assassins. And so Tommy's birth happened in the back of the local tavern and well, it wasn't what they had expected. The creature was hideous, I say creature because Tommy, though born in human shape had a part of every creature attatched to him, which was not at all what they had expected. The High Witch, disgusted at what she had brought into the world left the baby to die in the back of that tavern.
In the wii bit hours of the night, when the company within the tavern, the tavern-keeper could hear the wails of the child. When the keeper went to the back of te tavern he expected to see an abondoned child, and when he came upon the highly disfigured form of Tommy, he also had a hard time taking in what he saw. But he gathered up a little couraged and picked up the baby. He quicky went to the tavern backdoor and threw the baby out into the rain. For several weeks the baby slowly starved. However, Anubis looked down unto this creature and saw the magical might contained within this creature and being who he was, he transformed the Shade child into and elf and threw the child unto the doorstep of a troll house in hopes of creating the perfect war machine.
The Trolls came out the next morning to find the a baby elf almost on the brink of death. The proceeded to pick this baby up and brought it to their orc pets in the back and threw it in the cage hoping they would get to watch the orcs eat it alive. But much to their disatisfaction, the orcs sensed the amount of magic in the child and saw it as their way out. So they refused to eat it and fe it some of their servings until it became semi-healthy. They then accessed the power within the child and made an escape to their homeland.
They treked for several months feeding it along the way, always keeping it just from dieing, and when they reached their homland after three months of travel, they traveled a bit further into the land of their masters, the land of dragons and offered Tommy as a sacrifice in hopes that it would please their master enough to forgive their defeat.

And so when the Dragons looked down upon the sacrifice and saw it's magic they forgave the orcs and brought the baby back to their horde to feast upon it later. That night a legion of Dragon Hunters happened upon them and a great battle ensued. The legion took as much gold as they could carry and left. The baby would be fed for weeks because of the moisture and nourishment the of the dragons meat. And for a year the baby slowly learned to eat from the dragons flesh and it's canine teeth adapted to the razor sharp scales on the dragons body. But like all meat it eventually rotted and when the baby ate it became extremely sick and so being two years old the baby began to starve once again and worse yet it was unable to move.
And so when dwarves, while excavating the mines, came upon the starving elf, they picked it up and put it in one of their packs. Low and behold, they traveled to the Forest of Shadows and laid the baby at the beginning of the forest and by the time they got there the baby was nearly dead but they gave it a simple antidote and left.
But being a forest, the baby was able to find nourishment amongst the fruits and berries and when it was strong enough started to set site on it's beginning food, meat. And so when the snakes came after it, being three years old by now, it easily caught them and those that caught the baby were overpowered by the magic within the babies body and became to tired to put up a fight and the baby grew on the meat of the forest for another few weeks. And so when the war of Shades and Elves broke out in their forests. The baby was found by the Shades, and seeing the amount of magic within the child, they brought it to their general. The general took the baby and held it up to the small army under his control. With a knife in hand ready to stab the baby, and show his ruthlessness. A dragon  flew down on the encampment causing the general to drop the baby.
But you see the baby by now had grown a sense to fear and had become a small voracious vampire-like feeder, so as soon as the general started to drop the baby, the baby sensed the general's sudden fear and the baby grabbed unto the generals arm and  launched itself at the general. With it's sharp teeth, the baby ripped out the general throat causing him to fall on the ground and bleed to death. The baby sat by the body and began to eat the general.
The dragon started killing shades left and right, and when it came upon the devious little flesh-eating baby. It left it alone because it thought that the baby was not an enemy. And so the baby lived off the dead remains of the Shades that the dragon left behind for another few weeks, and by the time an encampment of Elves finally reached the baby, it was no longer a baby, because now it had reached the age of five and a half. And so that is how the beginning of Tommy's life happened.

The Raising

Well now, the elves happened upon this carnivorous child and found it to be a distortion of their perfect forms and so they brought it to the only thing that would even consider taking on this child. The seedless town hag, and sure enough the grotesque woman, being seedless, agreed to take care of this child and for several years the hag 'raised" this child. However, the townspeople knew what hell the child had to go through with the hag. They believed a slave would be better off than the child. And so when the child grew to the age of ten, the child decided to just leave, for he new that he wasn't an elf. He knew because he was a meat-eater and he especially knew when even the hag was more vegetarian than him.

And so he traveled to the land of the Normal, it took him about a year to get there because even on a map the land to the normals was near the opposite end of the map, but no doubt he traveled there to seek a teacher. For the hag had let him know one thing, that he was extremely powerful in magic.
So hearing this, he decided to travel to the one land that he thought he might understand, the land of the Normal or as most elves put it, to the land of the savages.

Well, once he got there he wasn't disappointed. When he walked into the streets he saw exactly what he wanted to see, lots and lots of mercenaries.  He walked the streets for a while before he came across the recruitment office and one of the officers saw him and realized he was an elf. The child was arrested on site and brought to the city prison were he was interrogated for nearly a month. They asked questions that was made quite obvious he had no answers too. Also, after a while they began to realize that even though he looked like an average everyday being with the intellect of an elf, he had developed no language skill. Because the hag had hit him if he did something wrong, he had only learned the language of getting hit and not getting hit.
After they realized this they offered him service for their military and wanting a way out of this torture, he readily agreed.
