I woke up at my usual time: 7:30 AM. I looked out my window and saw how the sun's rays reflected of the water in my pool. I loved how beautiful this sight was. I always appreciated it more on this day, my birthday. Today I was 14. I always loved my birthday, being with my family, walking my dog to the mountains, and having lunch with my best friend Elena. This was my favorite day of the whole year.
I got out of bed and got dressed in casual clothing: A blue T-shirt that hugged my body, dark denim shorts and black converse. I let my black hair stay down instead of putting it up in to to pigtails like I always do. I went downstairs and noticed no one was in the house which was odd because my parents always got everything they needed to do done in the morning. I looked outside and saw that their car was still here. "Where did they go?" I say to myself.
I go back upstairs to check on my dog, Pebbles.
I've had her since she was a puppy. She's so sweet and loves to play. Pebbles sleeps in the room next to mine; that way I can get to her faster if something were to happen. I go into her room and see her tearing up furniture. "Pebbles!" I go over and pick her up. "You do NOT eat furniture. If you're hungry then you will eat your dog food." I take her down stairs to her dog bowl and set her down so she could eat. She turned back to me and started barking. "Pebbles! What's gotten into you today?" She stopped barking and ran out her doggy door. I grab her leash and run after her, not wanting to lose her. She kept running, all the way to the mountains. I always took her up here on my birthday, why would she run away from me now?
She ran through the trees on the mountain. Then, all of a sudden, she stopped and turned back to me. She just stood there staring at me, as if to tell me to go to her. I slowly walk over to her and put her leash on.
As soon as I did, a little goblin like creature came out of no where and attacked us.He was very grotesque looking I must say.He was a short creature and he had a sword.
I moved Pebbles and I out of the way. The goblin kept coming after us so I set Pebbles down and grabbed a little log and went to attack the goblin with it. The goblin broke the log as soon as I hit him. I gulped and started walking backwards. The goblin approached me,swinging his sword. I held out my arms to keep him away. Then a ray of dark green light came out of no where and the goblin was destroyed.
"How did I-?"
"You didn't." A voice said. It was just any voice; it was a man's voice. I didn't recognize him so when he walked over to me so I just looked at him. He had green hair and he was much taller than I.
"You know, you could be a little more grateful to me considering I just saved your life." He said to me
"Maybe I would if you told me who you were."
"When I can trust you, Kerri."
"How do you know my name?!" I back away from him. How did he know my name? I never met this man before in my life. It made me wonder what else he might have known.
"All will be explained with time."
I start to walk away with Pebbles but the man stopped me. When he touched me, we were sent to another realm it seemed like. The sky was a light purple. The trees didn't look like trees, I'm not sure what they looked like. The man with green hair led Pebbles and me to a cave. It was dark but then his hands started to glow. What was he?
We walked throughout the cave, tunnel after tunnel. We eventually reach a new cave and he leads us into it. In the cave we see a group of at least 10 people. Among them were my parents. "Mom! Dad!" I start to run to them but the green-haired man stopped me. "Let me go! Those are my parents!"
"No, they are you're creators. We do not have these so called parents." He said to me. What did he mean by that? I lived with those two for 14 years.
"But they...they were..."
"They were who we wanted them to be. They needed to gain your trust."

I hope you enjoyed it! Please tell me what you think :)
