"Guideless child, I'll shape your belief and you'll always know that you're fathers a thief. And you won't understand the cause of your grief, but you'll always follow the voices beneath." A soft voice, singing a sweet lullaby. Yet Fayre felt nothing but calm, even as young as she was she could feel something tug at her. Something dark. The singing voice called out to her invitingly, promising sleep, warmth, protection, and yet something murky lurked beneath it. She could not understand the words sung, they were just meaningless echoes to her, meant to sound soothing and sweet. But she could tell a difference.
"Hush, child, the darkness will rise from the deep. And carry you down into sleep, child, the darkness will rise from the deep and carry you down into sleep." A dark aura continued to tug at her, pulling her down as the song foretell. She let her eyes close, and let herself drift, listening to the soothing noises.
