His thought brought him to the beginning of what was their destiny, a trial of two.
The cold winds of a January night, Bayshar walked thought the cave of decisions, he made up his mind that Talon meant more to him than being a dragon, to sent one night with her was more than he could be ever dreamed of or wanted. They spent many nights together, but he was the dragon. The walk was slow, the chance would take place and Bayshar would be come Shadow. Emerald eyes and flowing white hair, certain trays would stay.
His beautiful emerald eyes, trimmed in gold, the muscular figurer was even stronger as a man.
Bayshar walked passed a stream and looked at himself and was amassed at how he looked. The wan was surprised at how he looked, there were shock and dismay, was he good enough for Talon or would she run from him. Thought started to run through Shadows’ mind, fear was again running crazy in his body. He had never embraced fear or his immortality. But going to Talon, was his greatest fear. He prayed to the heavens to make All he could say to himself was “this is what you want.” Maybe
she would know that it was Bayshar all along, he didn’t want to be found out and lose what he wanted. How does a man deal with matters of the heart, how?
Shadow worried that Talon would notice the scar over his eye, the one he received when he was young, trying to take on a bigger dragon. Only to get whipped by the dragons tail. Each step, his muscles ache and, the fear and pain a male felt was more torment than he even knew. Shadow thought he would explode and fall apart, stupid, “I’m a man now, this is what I want” said Shadow.

Maybe she would know that it was Bayshar all along, he didn’t want Talon to find out and lose what he wanted. Shadow tied a bandana around his forehead to cover the scar, does a man deal with matters of the heart, how? Shadow thought of how she always laughed, every he had told her the story about the scar, he was young. Taking on bigger dragons then himself, trying to proving a point all the time that he was fearless, plus stupid.
Shadow walked slowly in the direction of the fire, hoping that Talon wouldn’t look into his eyes. The radiant eyes, a man’s eyes that pieced your soul, he wanted her, and only her. The moment she enters his life, the day she was born. The beginning of his life. Bayshar watch Talon becomes a woman from afar, high about the cloud. The child grew into a beautiful woman strong and fearless. Talon had always said that the color of their eyes where the same, a reflection, of each other soul. A bond was formed the moment she met Bayshar, knowing everyone of there thought for one another was timely, they laughed about it every time it happened. Bayshar knew this was meant to be, for both of them. Talons loved playing games with , but her mind was wondering and the
stranger was staring at her now. “Why are you here?”said Talon. “I’ve come to see you and stay awhile” Shadow said. “Stay with me, are you crazy, Tomigin would never allow anyone other than the dragons” said Talon. Talon moved away from the fire as he comes closer. “He gave me permission to do what I want” said Shadow. “Come sit close to the fire with me” said Shadow. The was warm, the cracking sound was like magic, the man was beautiful, something Talon was not used too. His skin looked like the desert sands at night. The emerald eyes were the same as Bayshar’s.
Strange that two beings could have the same color eyes and not be the same being. But this, was a man, not a dragon. He smelled of mire and rare spices, not like Tomigin, dragons’ fire and endless soot. But this, maybe was more, much more a being just like her. The smell was intoxicating, it flown over Talon breath and skin. Wanting this man, feeling the strength of his arms, the treasure that he held was waiting right in
front of her. Talon thought”I’m going crazy, what was wrong with me.”She wasn’t used to being a woman, just a warrior for the dragons. This feeling, was it right she didn’t want to know, the feeling would fall away like the leaves of the trees in the autumn. She laid down beside him, the color of his hair was so close to moonlight that she wondered if it
was real. Real or not, it was long and beautiful and soft. He was not like the aging dragon
Tomigin, with his battered whiskers, ruff scales and smoking stenches of his breath. She wondered if he tasted as good as he looked and smelled. She always kissed Setoff on the snout, sometimes he pulled away, said it tickled.
Would kissing this man come to and end, would he pull away the same way? That was a stupid idea, being taken as a fool and not as a woman. What was she thinking, she was losing her mind? Crazy thought raced around her head, passion was engulfing every move she made. Talon wanted this man called Shadow and Shadow wanted her, there was only one goal for each of them. The night would prove to be what each needed from the other. Shadow felt his heart pounding, his ears felt as if they would burst. “Steady your nerves,” said Shadow. Don’t blow it. He was talking to himself again. Shadow was touching Talon’s shoulder, she skin was softer than anything he could imagine, kissed by the sun the warm glow, supple, inviting. Shadow, told himself keep cool, don’t move too fast. The hell with it, it’s now. Shadow lifted Talon into his arm and held her close, kissing every inch of her face and throat. Laying her on the sand, he was within inches of everything she had to offer.
Shadow wanted to tear every piece of clothing Talon had on her body, like savage devouring every living thing in sight, what would she do, turn and run? But instead, Talon was tearing Shadows’ shirt off his body.
She tasted of sweet figs and honey, a mouth the color of pomegranates. A surprised look was covering both their faces. They wanted each other, Talon moved in a rhythm that she didn’t know she had or could achieve without this man.
Shadow felt the same pulsing in his body as well. They match in more ways than Shadow could believe. Men! , Would do this anytime they wanted, it was more believably than what the old dragons’ had told Shadow? Shadow felt Talon’s fingers caressing his back and pulling him closer, wanting him the way he needed her, his blood was racing to the point that every muscle in is body screamed for release. Talon felt the presser, exploded at the same time. Releasing his needs, sweat started to pour over his body, it was a fever that ravaged his body. A fever that was striking again and again, mounting over and over again. Shadow was mounting once more and loving every bit of Talons’ body. Talons felt her muscle give away again, the Shadow pulsed inside of her again and again.
Then slowly Shadow lifted himself off her body and rolled to his back. The stars, looked even better through the eye’s of man, hope loomed bright and lasted longer for men than dragons. Dragons mate, then left each other as if they never met. It was a female’s responsibility, the male who just left. He could never leave, not after this night.
Talons’ eyes closed, the wonders of life, this is what she missed? But she wanted more of this man. She looked at Shadow, and he was looking back at her. “I have to go now. I promised Tomigin that I would be gone by first light.” Talon started to rise when Shadow rose to one knee, placing his fingers under her chin, lifting it ever so slightly, kissing her lips, “I’ll never leave you, I’ll only a heart beat away.” Shadow rose and walked away never to looking back. He knew that if he turned he would stay forever and never look at his life as a dragon again.
Sleep was taking over Talons’ body, the dreams that followed were better and sweeter.
