She looked at me in horror as I told her my gruesome story. When I finished she looked at me horrified for a minute or two. Finally she spoke "Oh Shane....How old was your little sister?"
"Four."
"What was on the picture she was drawing?"
"It-It was a picture of me holding her on my shoulder as we laughed. She was a talented little artist."
"I am sooo sorry."
"Its not your fault its mine."
"Not really. Is that why you said that me and you wouldn't work out?"
"Yes."
"Shane just because something bad happened a long time ago when you didn't have very good control over yourself doesn't mean that you should block off feelings to anyone."
"I guess your right." Suddenly her arms were around me. Shocked I paused a moment before wrapping my arms around her and holding her tight. We broke away finally and but she sat in my lap. "Where did you get the blood?"
"Oh that. I had Matt drain the blood of a couple of rabbits."
"Hmm I thought so."
"Shane whats been troubling you?"
"Huh? Oh that." I sighed "Alex I have to tell you something sometime soon so I might as well tell you now."
"Tell me." I sighed again.
"Your father didn't really die in a car accident he and your mother were killed."
"What?!" I shushed her with one finger to her lips.
"You are the princess of all mortals. Didn't you ever wonder why you didn't seem to shocked when Blake told you what we were? You were exposed to this sort of thing all the time when you were young. We are protecting you. I've made a deal with the enemy. They will not attack until school is over." I paused and waited for all of this to absorb. She just sat there on my lap. I looked at her expression it was a look of shock and disbelief. Suddenly it became a distant faraway look. I sat there and waited for her to come back to reality.

I sat there for an hour being patient. She just sat limply in my lap with the faraway look in her eyes. Finally she gasped and turned toward me. "Shane! I remember it! I remember all of it! Guess what! You'll never believe it! Matt is my brother!"
"What?! Matt's your brother?! How can he be your brother?"
"You see when we were little my mom gave me to these people who couldn't have children because she didn't want to endanger him by him being around me. I remember his name and his face! It is definitely him I know it!"
"Wow! Matt come in here! We have to tell you something!" I yelled.
