Chapter One

Molander's P.O.V.

The night is cool. The wind ruffles my fur. That may have been Moonlight, though. I turn to her, seated at my left. She turned to me and our eyes met. I smiled and moved closer to her. She rested her head on my fur and started to fall asleep. I placed a paw around her and turned back to the full moon. So mysterious. Beside me, Moonlight shifted position as she slept. Hm.. I stroked her fluffy gray-black fur. I swear I saw her smile slightly in her sleep.

The next morning, I woke in my spotunder the great willow tree by the river. Moonlight stirred next to me. I looked down and stroked her head with the tip of my nose. She looked up. "Good morning." she said, smiling. "Good morning Moon." I said. I stood up and stretched out. I saw Moonlight shiver slightly at the loss of my body heat next to her. I nodded my head slightly and a small fire appeared, floating in midair next to her. She laughed and started to get up.Suddenly, an arrow flew through the air and hit Moonlight's outstreched paw. "Oh!" she cried out inpain. I gasped and looked in the direction of the arrows. I saw roughly eight pairs of red eyes staring at me. Beyonders! I quickly lifted Moonlight by the scruff of her neck and ran towards our safe house.
