"What do you want to do when you leave school???" I asked Joel. We were lying on Scottsten beach. Jordan and Georgia were messing around in the water. The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze to make the day amazing as the bright blue waves attacked Georgia and Jordan. I was laying down with my head on Joel’s chest, his arm wrapped around waist and his other messing with my hair, knowing I would fall asleep. He was laying on a long towel beside the beach bag filled with sandwiches, crisps, juice, other things we had taken with us. He had his ankles crossed and I was curled into a ball, completely comfortable beside him, feeling love fill me up, love and happiness.
"Business, my dad says he can help me get into a college in Florida, I can leave in fourth or fifth year to go."
"How long would you be away???"
"Only a year or two. But he says I can use email and texts, I have to try steer away from calls though. It'll cost heaps anyway." I looked up at him in shock.
“Only a year or two?!?!?! barely any calls??? How will I last???" He laughed and kissed my forehead, making my eyes close as he flicked hair beside my ear.
"You'll cope fine, I'll phone you every weekend and text every day. I promise."
He intertwined our pinkies together and chuckled, "I pinkie promise you Nikita, that I will phone and text when I'm in Florida."
"Better keep that promise, I won't be happy if you don't."
"I'll keep my promise." He said, laying his head back onto the pillow he had brought. "What's your plans for after school???"
"To be the love of your life." I said, grinning.
"Promise???" He chuckled.
"I pinkie promise." I intertwined our other pinkies and Joel kissed them, making me giggle.
"Good. Better keep it." I laughed as Georgia shrieked when Jordan picked her up and dropped her in a big wave. "I love you Nikita."
"I love you too." I whispered, kissing him. "You better never leave my side."
"I'll only leave if you tell me to."
