Alexander had been forgetting all his chores and spending every waking moment around Isabella. No moment was spared where they could be kissing. This annoyed Luna a lot. She didn’t trust Isabella and she definitely didn’t like anything that came in between Alexander and his lessons.

They began to get closer. Much closer than Luna had anticipated.

“I’m in love with you Isabella” Alexander said. Wrapping his arms around her small frame.
“No..”
“No?”
“Why do you have to make things complicated Alexander?” Isabella said suddenly and pushed her way out of his arms.
“I don’t understand. I love you Isabella. Don’t you love me?” Alexander said slowly.
“You cant love me.” she said solemnly
“… is there something you’re not telling me Isabella?”

“I can’t play with your heart, and you shouldn’t play with mine.”
“I don’t understand…”
“I’m betrothed Alex!”
Alexander simply looked at her in shock.
“I’m to be married in a few months from now. On my 18th birthday.”
“To Whom.. Do you love this man?”
“ To my master.”
“ What?!” Alexander said the sense of extreme confusion rising in his voice.
“ You remember I told you about ranks. I came from a poor, penniless family Alexander. They sold me… for bread money. For bread money Alexander! I was sold to my master as a baby. He has the rights to me as a guardian and on my 18th birthday he will have the rights to me as a wife.” Isabella said sadly. Her tears beginning to drown her eyes.

“No… you can stay here. With me!” Alexander said holding on to her arms in desperation.
“ He will find me. He will hurt you. I’m not worth this!” Isabella said breaking down.
“Listen to me. You are worth every star in the sky. Every bird in this forest. You are worth the world to me.” Alexander said breathing deeply. He pulled her into his chest.
“I Love You. I Love you.” Alexander said wiping the tears from her eyes.
“ I Love you too… I’m bad news.”
“I Don’t care.” Alexander kissed Isabella passionately on the mouth. She kissed him back.
