A letter From Luciel to his Master.
My Lord..
It seems our plan has been foiled yet again.
She has somehow managed to convince Lord Nicholai of her innocence. which I suppose, is just as well because, for a while it seemed he might have killed her.
I now understand very clearly why she is so necessary. When she left the safety of the castle and ventured to the Elkannoe woods, I caught a glimpse of the panic in his eyes...
Once we have her, he will do anything to ensure her safety. Including relinquishing the throne... even the Elixir will be within our grasp. We simply have to find a way to isolate her from him and leave her vulnerable.
.Also, my lord. I'm a little worried..i fear It's only a matter of time before I'm suspected.
I did manage to extract a little more of the magic of the garden. It weakened me, but It was worth it, all his abilities are severely diminished when he is around me, especially his mind-reading. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, I must implicate someone else, it would make tings go much smoother. As if they feel they have caught the perpetrator. Lord Nicholai woud no longer see it neccesary to have such a high level of security around her. For right now, It's impossible to get to her. He has a fleet of Sylinkxes surronding her. So if we are to have any hope of capturing her. It will mean getting her away from the castle, but it must be by Nicholai's orders. For if she is taken against her will, he would sense her distress instantly.
I beleive I may have a plan, but it is one that is far from foolproof. It may work out perfectly, delivering her into our hands, or it may be what will expose me. I willing to take the risk for you, my lord.
I will report as soon as any progress is made.
Your faithful servant
Luciel Van der Silaeces
Luciel's point of View.
I handed the note to the awaiting Laenix and dismissed it without a word. Since Laenixes had the superb ability to deliver a message without any commands, it eliminated the risk of anyone hearing me utter my master's name. I sat back in the chair and watched it dissapear into the night sky.
Reaching into the deep pockets of my black overcoat, and withdrew a small glass vial. I sat in the darkness staring blankly at the bottle, until eventually, after several calming deep breaths. I swallowed the contents and waited for .. well.. something.
but as usual, apart from a sickeningly bitter after-taste, I felt nothing.. but the potion had already proved itself to work. After all, when Celia dissapeared into the woods, lord Nicholai never once suspected I knew anything. Regardless, I still had to come up with a plan to implicate one of the servants.
however, I had more important things to worry about at this time... with Celia constantly surrounded by her Sylikxes, reaching her would be impossible..
unless....
