Haydiens POV

I watched as Heathrow worked on Jesse trying to stop the bleeding, I felt numb I was no help I just stood there and looked at Jesse her body was turning whiter by the minute and her heart beat was faint ....how could so much happen in such a sort time .... Jesses agonizing scream ripped me from my thoughts she was screaming my name I went to her side and held her hand I could not do much more then that, Vincent's venom coursed through her veins and I could do nothing.

“shh shh shh Jesse its going to be okay” I whispered in her ear.

Heathrow finally got the bleeding stopped and left the room, Lilly would not even talk to me she came into the room but never looked at me and I knew she was mad at me by her thoughts ...she hated me more then anything she is blaming me for what had happened she thinks that Jesse should have been able to pick whether she wanted to be a vampire or not.

Jesse screamed again and I flinched ....i remember the way it felt to have ice pumped through your veins the way it cripples you and the way the splinters of ice ripped through your body.

Another scream tore me away the memory.

Jesses POV

The ice tore through my body and I screamed again it was all I could do ...why was I being tortured so much ....what did I do to deserve this?

I could remember the strange guy in the forest that I ran into when running away from Haydien.... I remember that the guy was hunting I remember screaming for Haydien right before the sharp pain in my neck. 

I don’t know how long it was that I was in pain from the ice.

I felt the ice subside and I felt myself push through

“Haydien” I said no more then a whisper

Haydiens head shot up and his hands were all over me trying to comfort me anyway he could...but I felt no more pain.

“Jesse oh Jesse are you okay - I am so sorry – I should have talked to you I should have seen that you didn’t want to marry me”

“Stop” I hand over his mouth

“Jesse I should have...”

“Stop – it’s not your fault – I ran away and you saved me – nothing is wrong with me I am still good old Jesse”

“Jesse but your not you’re ...”

The door opened and Lilly walked in my chest burst into flames and my mouth felt dry then there was a odd taste it tasted like.... mango and mint? The flames went from my chest to my throat and I could hear Lilly’s heart beat and I heard the blood flow through her veins ....and I wanted it I needed it, I jumped out of the bed and I flung myself at Lilly, strong arms locked around my waist and pulled me back to the bed I thrashed around and I swear I heard a growl escape my lips, Haydien was on top of me and I could not escape his hold.

“LILLY LEAVE NOW” Haydien yelled

As soon as the door closed and Lilly was gone I felt myself calm down the fire died and I stopped struggling.

“Jesse calm down please I don’t want to hurt you” Haydien pleaded

 I started to shake and my breathing quickened as I realized what happened and what I am.

“Im –im –im a vampire” the words stuttered out

Haydien stared into my eyes and he nodded once slowly

I looked back at him and looked away as I asked my silent question

“Did you do it” I asked him in my thoughts to scared to ask him out loud

He shook his head no and then dropped his head and sighed but it was uneasy

“Then who” I whispered

“His name is Vincent and he was my best friend” he hissed his name

At the sound of Vincent's name I became giddy and I didn’t know why and I didn’t like it ...at all

I felt Haydiens body tense up as he what I assumed read my thoughts and found what I was thinking about.

Haydien was still on top of me and it didn’t feel the same as it felt before ....the love that I had for him was stronger

I pulled my arms out from his hands and wrapped them around Haydiens neck and pulled his face to mine and kissed him but he pulled away

“Don’t”

“Why”

“We will talk about it later”

“Why can’t we talk bout it now”

“Because we are going to talk about it on a beach ....a beach all to our self in Hielanna”

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow

“What?”

“We are going on a trip so we can talk and just be together”

“Are we” I pulled him closer to me and kissed him

“yes-we-are” he said between kissing me

I packed my suitcase and went down stairs.....bad idea......very bad idea James walked by me and my chest burst in flames and they crawled up my throat and then I had James pinned to the wall by his neck and then strong arms were around my waist pulling me away

“Jesse enough” Heathrow said as he dragged me to the kitchen

I instantly calmed down

“HAYDIEN GET IN HERE”

“What’s up” Haydien said while he came around the corner

“Do you not think” Heathrow said

“Don’t yell at him” I said

“SHIT sorry” Haydien said and grabbed a bottle out of the fridge and he handed it to me and opened the lid the flames started up again and I looked down at the bottle and saw the red liquid and I inhaled more deeply, I brought the bottle up to my lips and tilted the bottle and the blood washed out the flames and numbed the burn in my chest, it tasted like all my favorite foods in one it tasted like heaven in a bottle.

I looked up to see Heathrow was gone and Haydien was looking at me ....oddly.

“What?” I asked

“It’s just that you want not only human blood but immortal blood too”

“What does that mean?”

“I don’t know”

“Well that’s helpful” I said a bit teasingly

Haydien smiled and I couldn’t help but to smile back a bit.

“Bye Jesse bye Haydien” Lilly and James Gavin and Derek yelled to Haydien and I as we pulled out of Heathrow’s driveway

“Bye guys see you soon” I said out the window and I waved to them all then Haydien stepped on the gas and the car jolted forward and I put the window up again and turned forward..... Haydien was very proud of his new car that he got just for our trip a Lamborghini Gallardo.

“So how far away is this place?”

“Not far – when you drive like me” Haydien said and then the car increased speed once again

I laughed slightly

We drove in silent until Haydien pulled into a ... rest stop

“What are we doing here?”

“We are picking up another passenger”

“What?”

“Just sit tight and don’t go anywhere”

“No I want to come with you”

“I don’t know… when was the last time you drank?”

“Like an hour ago you saw me”

“Stay here I will be back”

“But Haydien”

“Just stay here and don’t move”

“But”

“Just don’t get into trouble – okay”

“Fine” and I slouched back into my seat and pouted as Haydien got out of the car and walked into the gas station

Just then a guy pulled up with a Saleen S7 twin turbo.....yes I know my cars but that is not important at the moment..... Haydien left me in the car to go meet god who knows and why didn’t he tell me that another person was going to be coming with us.... why......ugh

The guy got out of his car and I knew that it was the person Haydien was meeting I just knew ....the pale skin the nice car the cocky way he carried his self ...i knew it I would bet my life on it

And my theory was confirmed when Haydien came out of the gas station and walked up to the guy and gave him one of those one armed shoulder hug thing that guys do to each other. I rolled my eyes at them.

 I stepped out of the car and leaned against it and crossed my arms across my chest.

“And who’s this” the guy said

“Shane this is Jesse”

“Nice to meet you Jesse Haydiens told me...nothing about you”

“sounds like Haydien he has the tendency not to tell you things” I said acidly

Shane looked at Haydien with that look that look that says ‘oh man you screwed up’

Then Shane was then right in front of me and leaned down to my ear

“How long have you been one of us?”

“She’s been one for 3 days freezing and 1 day awake so now that you’re done questioning my girlfriend can we get to Hielanna” Haydien said while he pulled Shane away from me and pushed him towards his car.

“I don’t think so – the guy here said he can take care of my car so I get to ride with you and your girlfriend” Shane said as he put his keys in his pocket

Haydien climbed into the driver’s seat and Shane went for the passenger’s seat but I pushed him out of the way

“You get the back”

“Don’t you know the girls ride in the back” Shane said and then pushed me back

“No you see I get a whole bunch of little perks being the girlfriend I get to tell you that you can sit in the back”

“And I get a bunch of perks to for being the friend and they allow me to make you sit in the back”

“Really well then you didn’t read the fine print the fine print clearly states that I rank over you”

“Hmm that may be true but I am stronger then you”

“And what does that prove” I said a cocked my head to the side

“It proves nothing and so Jesse gets the front Shane get in the back before I come over there”

“Oh I am so scared the big bad Haydien is going to skin me alive save me Jesse save me” Shane said in a whine voice but he got into the back seat and I got into the passenger seat and I felt just a bit smug

“So where do you two know each other”

“Well I see Haydien has told you nothing of me - why would he – we met a few hundred years ago when we both had no lives”

“Ya that sounds about right but the difference is I grew out of that stage and now I have a life”

“Really tell me when you grew out of having fun”

Haydien rolled his eyes and hit the gas

“So how you two meet” Shane said while pointing back and forth between Haydien and i

“We met at Heathrow’s” I explained

“Really why were you there” Shane asked looking at me

“I got convicted ....of murder” I said slowly trying to push my moms face from my mind and then Haydien switched the subject

“When we get into Heilanna Jesse I want you to stick close while I get things settled”

“Okay” I said I didn’t want to be away from him anyways

We were sitting there a long time in complete quite and then I felt cool fingers on my neck and I tried to ignore Shane as much as I could while we kept driving but it continued and I turned around in my seat to face Shane

“Could you please stop?”

“Im not doing anything” Shane said and I think he was telling the truth because he was laying down in the back seat with his head behind Haydiens seat.

I sat there not sure of what to think but Haydien interrupted my thoughts

“What was Shane doing?”

“I thought he was putting his hand on my neck – but I don’t think he was”

“No I wasn’t I don’t want to be skinned alive by Haydien - not that you wouldn’t be worth touching” Shane trailed off when there was a loud growl from Haydien

Haydiens POV

I wish Shane would just keep his comments to himself.

Who was touching Jesse if it wasn’t Shane and it sure the hell wasn’t me who was it and then it dawned on me VINCENT.... I have to stay calm I cant let Jesse know  what is happening until we are alone and on our beach I have to keep her safe.

Shane’s POV

Why am I thinking of Jesse that way I haven’t even known her for a day yet and im already thinking about what I can do with her and what she must look like naked ... but it was so much more then that but I would stay out of Haydiens way I was his friend and I didn’t want this to come between us ...it probably will sooner or later but I am hoping it is later rather then sooner.

But if Jesse ever needed a shoulder to cry on.....shut up Shane god what is wrong with you she’s Haydiens not yours

And then I remembered that Haydien had that thing where he could read thoughts.......fuck im screwed

After I apologized about a hundred times in my head to Haydien ...and boy did I feel stupid doing it....we were coming up to the entrance of Hielanna and I had a feeling Jesse had no clue what was in store I almost laughed ...but I didn’t

Jesse POV

“we are coming up to Heilanna” Haydien said

“mmm” I said I really didn’t know what to say to that I was scared and excited all at once

We were in the mountains by now and I was not paying much attention until I saw that we were going straight when the road was turning.

“Um Haydien I think you have to turn – that’s a cliff”

Haydien and Shane looked at each other then at me I was scared shit less and they knew it but they still said nothing

“Haydien we are going to die”

And then the car flew off the cliff and I thought I was going to die I was in a car free falling and I closed my eyes tight and I hugged my knees to my chest

“Jesse open your eyes” Haydien said and touched my shoulder

I opened my eyes to see that we were racing down a road...what where did that come from.

“Jesse this is Hielanna” Haydien said

“It’s good to be back” Shane said

I looked out my window and saw it was sunset in one side ... the sky was purple and pink and soft orange it was the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen then out Haydiens window it was night .... The full moon was so big it almost took up the whole sky it looked like it was right out of a fairy tale

“Its beautiful Haydien” I said and Haydien smiled at me

We got out of the car in front of a mansion that was at least 3 times bigger then Heathrow’s

I stood in front of the mansion and just looked up that’s when I felt arms wrap around my waist and I turned around and Haydiens lips found mine and I eagerly kissed him back but we were interrupted

“Get a room” Shane said and walked past us

“Sounds bout right to me” Haydien said as he dragged me towards the double doors

“Get the bags out of the car” Haydien said to a guy standing by the door

“Haydien what rooms mine” Shane said from the top of the stairs

But he left before Haydien could say anything

“How bout we go find that room” Haydien said in my ear  and pulled me the other set of stairs but these just led to a big black door

Haydien pushed it open and inside was a huge room and it was all black and midnight blue and the carpet was a really dark red and there was a giant circle bed in the middle of the room that had black silk sheets and it was a gorgeous room and I smelt like ...like Haydien and more but I couldn’t put my finger on the other smell.

Haydien had me in his arms and walked me to the bed backwards and I sat on it and Haydien was leaning down to kiss me and then he pushed me gently back and was on top of me and he was kissing my neck and his hand was hard on my waist but I didn’t mind.

“okay good for you that you got to the room but could you maybe wait till later because we are going out” Shane said from the door

Haydien sighed and dropped his head and rolled off of me

“Great timing as always Shane” Haydien said

“You know you love me now get dressed before I leave you here and take out Jesse” Shane said

“We are coming now get out” Haydien said and threw a pillow at Shane but he moved out of the way and it hit the door frame and fell to the ground, where the pillow hit there was a dent...a pillow made a dent in the door frame.

Shane left the room and was laughing

“where we going”

“To blood lust”

“Blood lust?”

“It’s a club”

“Sounds fun”

“Mhm”

“Umm Haydien where’s my suitcase”

“Frank bags now” Haydien yelled and in walked the guy who was by the door earlier he had all the bags

“Anything else sir” he asked and I almost burst out laughing he was a butler

“No that’s all thank you”

Then Frank left

“Wow Haydien you have everything here even a guy named frank”

“Ha Ha Ha laugh it up Jesse laugh it up”

“Well come on Frank?”

“Frank is a my lead man”

“Ya I bet he is”

“Oh shut up” Haydien said and threw me my suitcase which a caught

I opened my suitcase and I sat down on the bed again

“Why are you pouting?”

“Im not pouting”

“Yes you are”

“Fine I am – I don’t have anything to wear tonight”

Haydien walked over to his closet and went into it...yes it was like a whole other room in there

He walked out with a pair of black cut away’s and a shirt that looked way to small for me

“Do you always have girl’s clothes in your closet?”

“No I had these gotten for you before we left Heathrow's”

I took the clothes from him and put them on the shirt ended up being a tube top but then these ribbons things came up and over my right shoulder and then tied around my waist....if that made any sense at all

“I have no shoes” I pointed out

Haydien went into his closet once again and came out with his clothes and a pair of dark read ...high heals that had very long ties on them

I put my shoes on as Haydien put his clothes on the ties went all the way up my ankle and ties just at the bottom of my pants

“Are you two ready yet” Shane yelled from I assumed the front door

We walked out to the car and got in but this time Shane drove and I sat in the back

We pulled up to a building that had pink neon lights that read BLOOD LUST

Shane walked in first and walked to the far booth it had sheer curtain all around it and the floor was clear and blue lights were shining through.

“I haven’t seen you two here in a long time” a girl shouted over the music

“Hey Nicky how’s business” Shane said to a girl who had blonde hair but it was in dread locks she looked like the kind of girl who beat the shit out of people.

“Who’s this” Nicky said

“Hey im Jesse”

“Sup – okay guys the first round on me” she said and then walked over to the bar

We sat down at the booth and some redhead came up with a tray of drinks

“From Nicky” she said

And placed them down on the table.....six drinks were on the table

“Thanks Nicky” Shane yelled but I doubt she heard him

Shane downed his two shots and then looked at Haydien who did the same to his and then both of them looked at me.....i picked up the first shot to my lips and then tilted me head back and swallowed ....straight vodka....it made my nose burn but I picked up my other one and shot that back within seconds I could feel the affects but I ignored it

“Good shall I get some more – maybe I should get water for Jesse we don’t want her to pass out on us” Shane said while getting up

“Just get the drinks” I said and he laughed and went over to the bar

He came back with 12 shots and this time they were blue he set them down

“Oh come on Shane Blue Curaco”

“Take it like a man – I thought I would go for something softer then vodka .....For Jesse”

Shane lined the drinks in a line in front of me then in front of Haydien then he did his

“okay the first one you pick up with your mouth and then shoot it the second the person on your right will pour it into your mouth – okay after the first two I will tell you the next two” Shane said more to me ....i had a feeling Haydien had played this game before

Shane did his first shot and dint spill a drop then Haydien did his and also didn’t spill a drop, Haydien pulled my hair away from my face and I put my lips around the glass and then tilted my head back ...i felt a drop slip down the corner of my mouth and down my neck but Haydien wiped it away and then I was done ... Shane looked impressed

Shane handed Haydien his drink and Haydien stood up and dumped in into Shane’s mouth and what a surprise he didn’t spill a drop then Haydien handed me his drink he leaned his head back and I slid over in the booth I got up on my knees and Haydien opened his mouth ...i was suddenly feeling very daring I leaned in and kissed him my tongue met his and then I pulled away and his eyes were still closed and I poured the blue shot into his mouth

“Damn that was the best shot I ever had” Haydien said

“Jesse your turn now tilt your head back” Shane said

I tiled my head and opened my mouth and Shane poured the shot into my mouth I swallowed and then put my head back up and the room spun a bit but went back to normal.

“Okay the next two – the first shot ....”

“oh come on I give up” I shot my last two shots in like 2 seconds then I did one oh Haydiens  but left one then I a shot back both of Shane’s ...that did it I felt all the shots hit me but I still felt okay .

“You missed one” Shane said

“no I didn’t “ I put it into my mouth but didn’t swallow then I went over to Haydien and locked lips with him and the liquor came out of my mouth and into his I felt some of it drip down my chin and then I pulled away

“Haydien damn you dint tell me she acted like this” Shane said

“I didn’t even know she acted like this” Haydien said but smiled at me

“Lets dance” Shane said as he was looking over at a bimbo blonde who was already dancing

Me and Haydien started to dance and he placed his hands on my hips at first but they had traveled down and now he was moving me with him and we just went like that until Shane went flying across the room and hit the bar and a huge guy followed after him

“Stay here” Haydien said

“Hmm- Kay” I said

 And Haydien disappeared but then Nicky had me and was pulling me towards the door and she pushed me out and Haydien and Shane  sitting outside and Nicky pushed me towards them I stumbled and Haydien caught me

“And don’t come back if you plan on destroying my club” and she slammed the door

We pulled into Haydien mansion and he picked me up and brought me into his room and laid me down, he got up and grabbed the pillow that he threw earlier and then he laid down beside me

“Haydien”

“Ya”

“come here” I pulled him closer to me and he kissed me then he made his way on top of me and kissed me deeper he lifted me up a bit then slid my shirt off my hands were above my head and Haydiens hand was locking them there as his other hand was on my stomach then it was at the top of my pants and then those were off and Haydien sat up a bit and took off his shirt and then his pants and he crushed his body to mine again and my hands were locked above my head again Haydiens hand went down my stomach then to my thigh and curled around it and brought it up and attached it to his hip and then Haydiens lips were hard on mine again and I was getting frustrated when he wouldn’t let my hands out of his grasp .... And then he laughed

“Be patient Jesse” he whispered

He kissed me before I could respond, he kissed down my jaw then he was kissing my neck.

“Take a deep breath” he whispered

“Why?”

“Because you’re going to need it”

I took a deep breath and then Haydien opened his mouth and sank his teeth into my neck but there was no pain, there were other feelings, I couldn’t breath as the pleasure built up I was literally boiling and then it broke through the surface and I screamed out and then Haydien pulled away after I calmed down

“What did you do” I said out of breath

“It’s my secret I will share it with you some day

“But I want you to feel that”

“Just being with you makes me feel that way”

“Please tell me”

“Fine first you kiss the person as best as you can”

I kissed Haydien the best I could and he moaned into my mouth

“Then you touch their skin”

I trailed my fingers down his spine and he shuddered

“Then you tell them to take a deep breath”

“Then you kiss down their jaw and then onto their neck and then ever so slightly bite down”

“Take a deep breath” I whispered

I kissed down his jaw and down his neck I licked his neck and then I opened my mouth and placed it on his neck and bit down softly I heard Haydiens breath catch and his hand became hard on my arm and he moaned loudly and then he pulled away and kissed me ...very enthusiastically

“I can’t wait any longer I want you now” Haydien said

Four hours later Haydien and I were just lying there ...its amazing being a vampire you never get tired.

“So when are we going to talk” I asked Haydien

“Hah well we can leave tomorrow”

“Okay – how was it” I asked and he knew exactly what I meant

“You did it perfect and beyond” he said and then pulled me closer to him

We sat there in silence for a bit and Haydien was just trailing his fingers over my arm and then my hip and my thigh

“When will I have to drink again” I asked very quietly

“Well you should be feeding every week or so but it is going to really hard at first – the first time is always the hardest”

“I can’t kill someone Haydien I just can’t”

He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer

“I know – but you have to”

“Cant I just feed off animals”

“No because animals don’t get rid of the thirst – it’s like drinking salt water instead of just water – you will get dehydrated and you will start attacking people out in the open”

“But...... Haydien lets talk about something else”

It was quiet then and Haydien started kissing my neck but they were just light kisses ones that still sent electric currents through my body.....it was nice just to lay here with Haydien in his arms ...... but what did Haydien and I need to talk about there were so many things, Haydien felt my body go tense and I was sure he was listening to everything I was thinking, my body became more tense and I was panicking a bit ....but why...

Haydien rolled over and brought me with him and so now I was on top of him

“You need to stop worrying”

“I cant – I don’t know what else to think of”

Haydien laughed.... that was it of that conversation

My lips found Haydiens and he rolled again so he was on top of me and he kissed me again but this time all my worries seemed to just disappear.

“You to really need to get balance in your life” Shane said from the door

Thank god we were covered in the black silk sheets and Haydien covered me when he looked behind him

“You really need to start knocking” Haydien said to his friend but it sounded like he was going to kill him

“I live here why would knock”

“That doesn’t even make any sense” I said

“No it doesn’t” Haydien agreed with me

“So what are you guy going to do today”

“We are going somewhere without you together” Haydien said

“Why would you leave me behind?”

“Because Jesse and I need to talk and we don’t need you there to annoy us any further”

“Oh that hurt bro - what am I supposed to do here”

“I don’t know and I don’t care”

“Well this sucks now I can’t show Jesse my moves” Shane said and there was a low hiss escape Haydiens mouth

“Shane I don’t even want to see your moves im happy with just getting Haydiens” wait did I just say that

“I bet he has all kinds of moves – has he bit you yet” Shane said but glanced over at Haydien

“Shane out now” Haydien said

“No im not done yet”

“You’re lucky you are my friend because I would kick your ass out of this realm if you weren’t”

“Ya ya ya – but Jesse you didn’t answer my question”

“I don’t need to answer your question its none of your business” I said

“ahh so he has well just to let you know – and since I have been Haydiens friend for some time now I can tell you he can do more then that- but im still better at all of them”

“Shane I swear to god if you don’t get out I will kill you right here” Haydien said

“Fine I am leaving – I just came up here to tell you Vincent is here” Shane said the last part really fast

Haydien clenched his jaw and his hands became fists and then looked over at me with an expression on his face that was some where between horror and panic

“Get him out of my house” Haydien said still looking at me

“I already tried he said that he had important news for you and refused to leave” Shane said

“Jesse stays here and don’t move I will be back In a moment”

Shane left the room before Haydien got up he put on his jeans and then looked back at me right before he left the room as well

I started to panic a bit and so I got up and put my clothes back on and just sat on the bed but then there was a very loud crash I ran out of the room and down the stairs and then I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw him .....The guy from the forest I couldn’t see anything but him and he walked closer to me but stopped and smiled at me

“I see that ya are well”

I just stood there

“Lass I have to say you are stunning”

I just stood there

He walked closer

“Has Haydien told ya anything?”

I shook my head...........where is Haydien and then I could see the room and Haydien was standing by a broken chair and he looked pissed no he was beyond pissed

“GET OUT OF MY HOUSE” Haydien yelled

And then Vincent touched my hand and for some reason I felt sick to my stomach but I held it back ...is touch made me remember the ice in my veins

“GET OUT”

 Vincent touched my face and I jerked away and stepped backwards

And then Haydien launched himself at Vincent but Haydien hit me instead because Vincent was no where to be seen I went flying and hit a pillar and I fell to the ground

“Jesse im sorry” Haydien said as he picked me up bridal style

“Im fine it just knocked the breath out of me”

“I didn’t mean to im sorry I should have...” I cut him off

“Lets get out of here” and he kissed me lightly ...not nearly as hard as I wanted him to

Haydiens POV

Vincent disappeared before I got a hold of him I couldn’t take it anymore his thoughts were everywhere but they were all about Jesse every single one of them and then he touched he and I couldn’t hold back, I cant let him around Jesse their bond is stronger then mine and Jesse’s and he has the power to take her away and do god knows what to her. I needed to keep Jesse safe no matter what.

I kissed Jesse lightly and I knew she wanted more but it was just going to have to wait until we are alone but I am so afraid that Jesse will not want to be with me anymore because of what I let Vincent do to her yes she knows that she is no longer human but she doesn’t know what else had to happen to her so she could become a vampire, I should have ....i don’t know anymore but Jesse and I need to talk about it.
