“Well I was going to talk to about earlier but I'm not going to now ....I will go”

“ha well I was going to tease you about the whole me pinning you against the wall but I'm not now”

“ummm hmmm you heard that ...I was hoping that it got passed you”

“ya ummm ..... About that............. I totally kicked your ass today”

“you were going to say something else .....And no I'm pretty sure I kicked yours”

“ ya right I could beat you anytime anywhere”

“right now right here”

within seconds I was pinned against the wall with my hands above my head and my legs were pinned with his.....our eyes met his dark green eyes piercing into mine, his face came closer to mine as mine went closer to his when my bedroom door opened

“ OH shit SORRY” Lilly said a bit embarrassed

“I'm gonna go” Haydien said and left my room quickly

“Jesse I'm sorry”

“it’s okay”

“ I came in here to tell you that Haydien ........pretty much let you win today....i just found out from Gavin that Haydien is lord by blood not by bite” (which means he is really powerful ...which means he was born a vampire into a powerful vampire family )

“ I thought you had to be bitten to become a vampire ...I thought it was a myth”

“Jesse come on ...all your friends are myths” Lilly said while half laughing

“okay so how did he let me win”

“he has the ability to use dark magic”

“oh.....that sucks”

“ya.............I’m sorry I barged in without knocking ...I thought you were...alone”

“it’s okay nothing was happening...nothing happened....we weren’t doing anything” I said trying to find a sentence that fit

“Mhm ya sure whatever you say Jesse”

Lilly opened my door to leave “ he wanted to “ was the last thing she said and she left before I could say anything.

I threw on some shorts and a t- shirt and went to bed.

I rolled over to see the clock

“ugh”

it was 4 in the morning and I was not even tired anymore. I got out of bed and wandered down to the kitchen and went straight for the fridge I looked in I grabbed the fruit punch

“hey “

“JESUS CRIST”

I turned around to see Haydien there

“no I'm not Jesus”

“haha funny just give me a moment to be able to breathe again”

“ha.............umm I'm sorry about earlier I was out of line”

”nothing happened” I said a bit disappointed but I hoped he could not hear that my voice.

I searched for something to change the subject

“ I know you were holding back in the fight”

“well maybe a little bit”

“ya well ...it was still a good fight”

“ya for sure”

I made the mistake of thinking about how perfect he was, Haydien smirked and made a mocho pose

“oh shut up”

I went to sucker punch him put he caught my wrist

“why do insist on conflict with me all the time”

“maybe I just can’t keep my hands off of you”

“I could think of a better way for you to touch me then hitting me”

I smiled a bit and turned around to the counter

“Jesse I'm gonna go talk to you later” Haydien said and then left

I turned back to the counter and opened the cupboard door to get a glass ....they weren’t there........I looked around to see them on top of the fridge

“ugh”

just then Derek walked in only wearing his pants

“hey Jesse can you grab me a glass”

“ I would love to but I can’t reach them”

“come on you can do it”

I was about to grab a chair to stand on but four other guys came in and sat on all of them

“could you grab me a glass” one of them said

“ya me to”

“okay who did this” I said

iwas looking straight at Derek who had a big ass grin on his face

“did what” Derek said

“put the cups on top of the fridge” I said getting annoyed

“I don’t know ..guys do you know who did it”

“ no” they all said

I turned around and put the juice back in the fridge, I turned around and walked right into Derek I stumbled but Derek steadied me with his hands...on my waist....

”you can let go now” I snapped

Derek’s hands did not move

“Derek please let me go “

Derek grabbed my hand and pulled me out into the hallway

“Jesse did you hear what I was saying to you in there”

“no should I have”

“ya you should have I was touching you ...I can talk through peoples mind by contact”

“okay well I did not hear anything”

“hmm let me try again”

Derek’s lips were on mine before I could say no moving mine with his, after a quick moment I was gonna pull away when I heard that sneaky little bastard in my head

“you really should not be so gullible”

I instantly pulled away and walked away

“okay I'm sorry” Derek yelled after me

“look Derek if you keep going around like you’re the hottest thing that walks our planet you’re going to burst into flames ....and DIE”

“okay I'm sorry”

“ya ya your forgiven ...just don’t do it again ...I don’t like it...it actually makes me want to vomit”

I walked to my room before he could say anything else. I went straight for the washroom I had to brush my teeth and get dressed. I heard someone laugh I turned around to see Haydien laying on my bed

“what do you want “

“well I wanted you to hit me again the last time was...interesting”

I walked out onto my balcony I stared up at the sky looking at the stars. I felt Haydien standing behind me and he was really close...close enough that I felt his breath on my neck, he placed his hands on my shoulders and lightly brought them down my arms he suddenly turned me around almost roughly to face him and kissed me his lips were on mine kissing in such a way it should be considered a crime I wrapped my arms around his neck Haydien suddenly stopped

“Heathrow is coming”

"don’t go”

he pushed me gently back into my room and closed the curtains that were in front of the balcony. There was a knock at the door “it’s open”

and in walked Mr. Heathrow

“miss Lexington I'm sorry for barging in on you this late but I want to discuss something with you”

“okay”

“I'm sure you have figured out that this is not just any old place and I'm glad you are comfortable with being here......tomorrow we are getting new students and I don’t know how well they will ...cope with you being human so I just wanted to tell you not to go anywhere by yourself for a bit and take precautions”

I just stood there as Heathrow said good bye and was about to walk out when he turned around again

“miss Lexington have you seen lord Haydien”

“no sorry”

Heathrow left with an expression on his face that read I don’t believe you. I locked my door and went back to the balcony

“you suck at lying”

“ya it’s not a talent”

“these new kids are all vampires ...And guys...I want you to stay by me at all times”

“I don’t need a babysitter”

“yes you do because anyone here can snap you like a twig” he snapped at me

“I can take care of myself”

“ fine but when something happens to you don’t come crying back to me”

”back to you I was never with you”

I could see the hurt in his eyes but it passed quickly

“I can’t believe I wasted my time with you ...and kissed you”

“why did you kiss me “ I asked hurt a tear rolled down my cheek

“I have to go Jesse” and with that Haydien left my room while slamming the door I swear I heard the door frame crack.
