Ricky said yes, and I said no at the same time. I swallowed hard and took another nibble of the donut, hoping to get to the jelly soon. An awkward silence settled in the car. Ricky’s face was expressionless which was never a good thing.

"I’m not really sure," he said at last. He said each word slowly as if he was figuring out what they meant. "Ask Candy, she knows everything."

Of course.

"Um well it’s…complicated. Yeah that’s right, it’s really complicated and hard to explain," I said, and inwardly patted myself on the back.

Brittany seemed partially satisfied, but Courtney wouldn’t take that as an answer. "It’s a simple yes or no question," she grumbled. I pretended as if I didn’t hear her and took another bite of the donut.

"Is that good? Mind if I have a bite," Ricky suddenly asked.

"Yeah, sure," I replied, handing him the donut.

He stopped at the red light, took a bite, and handed it back to me in less than ten seconds with a smile on his face. I don’t know what I was expecting for him to do with the donut, but that was definitely not it. I guess I had the impression that Ricky always took things one-step further. I took a bite myself, expecting my mouth to be filled with raspberry jelly goodness, but instead I just tasted bread and sugar. And maybe a tiny bit of jelly.

‘What the hell,’ I thought and examined the opening of the donut.

I gasped. There was nothing inside it, except for a thin, red tinge that lay on the top and bottom sides. Nothing in the middle. I looked at Ricky who tried his best to look casual as he rolled in front of the school at last, when in reality it was only a seven minute drive. I could see, though, that he was a mixture of pissed and amused. Oh, great.

He unlocked the doors and we all got out. Courtney and Brittany said their thank yous and left to go to their crowd. Well, our crowd I guess. As I was about to follow them, Ricky pulled me back to talk. I leant back on the side door.

"Everyone's watching. All I have to do is scream," I warned in a singsong voice.

"I can kill about twenty of the kids closest to us in a couple seconds. The others will either hesitate or freeze with shock, giving me enough time to kill about thirty more. That'll leve your friends; girls only though, I only drink from guys when I'm extremely hungry. I'll take them as my hostages and lock them up in my basement where I will get them nice and healthy. Get all that crap out of their systems. I'll slowly suck and fuck them dry one by one; you'll be watching of course. When I get to you," he laughed, a cruel evil laugh, "well don't get me started on that. Let's just say I have a couple of ideas, all very unpleasant for you but very enjoyable for me. So you might want to rethink your threats."

"I wasn't threatening you," I responded quietly. I was still kind of WTF on when he said suck and fuck. His bad side was starting to come out, and I was not going to deal with that right now. "I'm sorry."

His eyes softened, and he came a bit closer towards me. "Listen I don't want to fight with you. But I don't want you disrespecting me especially in front of your friends--I dare you to interrupt me right now," he said when I opened my mouth to protest. I closed it and he continued. "Let me make this clear for the tenth time ok? I own you ntil I'm done with you, and if ou play your cards right, you'll learn to like it. Now, go act normal and get educated, I'll pick you up after school," Ricky said as he started to lean towards me.

"I can just walk or get my own ride," I reasoned, and he stopped a couple centimeters away. I could see and smell the jelly on his breath. He ground his teeth together.

"Why do you always have to make things difficult? Be here at dismissal sharp or I'll find you. And I don't enjoy playing hide-and-seek," Ricky said through his teeth. "Oh and eat something healthy today." He winked, got in his car, and drove away. I just stood there until I heard the bell ring.

Courtney, Brittany, Sam, and Josh were whispering silently when I sat down at our lunch table. I chose to listen to Ricky for once, and make life easier. I bought a grilled chicken thigh, garlic roll, and a parfait, even though I swear I heard the pizza calling out to me. Not exactly the most nutritious but he said eat something health and that's what the parfait was there for. The whispering stopped once I joined them, and everyone except Sam looked at me with fake smiles.

"Um what were you guys talking about," I asked, not liking their creepy stares and smiles.

"You and that guy David," Sam said. I could see me tied to a stake and burning in a fire, inside his eyes.

"What?! You told them? I trusted you two," I exclaimed.

"Relax, Candy we'd never have told unless it was important. That lying whore, Tiffany, is telling everyone except a totally fucked up version. She said that back when you were thirteen you started screwing around with anyone who would let you, and that you two used to be besties and she tried to get you to stop but you wouldn't so she told your parents and they sent you away to sex rehab. You were there for like four years because you didn't understand that good girls keep their legs closed and tried to have sex the people working there and staying there including females because you were that desperate," Brittany explained and placed her hand on top of mine. "Don't worry we don't believe her at all and barely anyone else does."

"Bitch is going down. Let's jump her after school," I growled. "Where is that slut?" I scanned the room and found her sitting with Drew behind a trash can and about five people gathered around them as she spoke her life ruining lies.

"There's more. She got Drew to back up her story. He said that the reason Brittany broke up with him was because she found you to doing it in the locker room, and because of that it messed up his head and he couldn't think properly during the game. It's evil but incredibly smart," Courtney added.

"My life is over," I groaned and dropped my head unto the table.

"Well what do you expect? The girl is obviously jealous of you and you don't make it easier when you just walk around with you ginormous boobs, sexy smile, and awesome hair," Courtney informed.

My head shot up. "What the hell are you talking about," I asked. "First off, my boobs are not that big, I smile like a normal person and it is sexy in no way, and my hair is a hot mess. She has nothing to be jealous about."

"Wrong, wrong, and wrong," Brittany sang. "You have like the biggest boobs in Planet Venus, Earth, and Neptune, when you smile it's like you're brighter than the sun, and your hair is gorgeous. It's all shiny, tangle free, smells like strawberries from all the way over here, and not to mention it looks so healthy. It's not fair."

"Don't forget her showing off her man this morning as if the other girls in this school don't already have low enough self esteem," Courtney added.

"I have no idea what you've been smoking, but all of those things are completely untrue. Especially the whole man thing. I don't have a man, and I don't need one," I said.

"Mmm hmm. Don't act like I didn't see the way he looked at you, and you were trying to play it cool by ignoring his advances. Plus I heard three specific words of your little conversation by his car and I was like what the fuck, that's some kinky shit you guys are into but who am I to judge," Courtney said and then started laughing.

"Whatever you heard disregard it. He's such an idiot, he doesn't think before he talks. I swear we're not dating," I responded, trying to get them to believe me.

"Sure," Brittany said and then winked. I groaned again. "Well at least we cheered you up for a couple of minutes. Not to mention the guys got a good laugh."

Courtney grabbed her chest and gasped. "Oh shit, I forgot you guys were here. You scared me."

After we finished laughing at Courtney's stupidity, I returned back to reality. I have a stalker that wants to use me in more ways than one, and thinks we're dating. I have an old hag from the past that's out to get me for no reason. And I have everyone looking at me like I'm working the local strip clubs. Not to mention the whole Jack thing I have to jot down in my dream journal and try to understand. This week was not going so smoothly.
