Another Shall Rise

I struggle as the water rises

For eons fighting fate,

But then I calm,

Thought the tree of gods pains me like a thousand whips

For death still stalks through men and gods,

My heir still prowls the earth

I sap strength from the tree of life

It weakens while I grow

I call to me these creature mine

Bats, hell-wolves, roaches

And insects from the swamp

And spiders, snakes

And toads that witches use.

Here they create a living hell,

(Yes, smile at my jokes...)

By the tree of the ones of Heaven,

An army gathers, coiled like a spring

Waiting, scheming

For the time when Hell shall truly be on Earth,

For another Satan shall rise.
