Oh white veil that has come upon
this sad grey spot of misery
You used to fly so high above
What brought you down ?, what trickery ?
Why would you drop so clean and bright
then melt away and drain ?
Is there a moral I can’t get ?
Or is this all in vain ?
Why not just hang beneath the clouds
and stay unharmed and single ?
Why would you fall and hurt yourself
just to say Hi and mingle ?
“Oh mortals, how you see the world !!”
The white veil did reply
“There is to life more than you think
beyond to live and die
Look at the kids joyfully play
and form me into balls
As much as I’m melting away
so is sadness as it falls
Look at those smiles around the fire
Look at those dads and moms
It’s time they knew the sky can drop
more than those deadly bombs
You locked a child inside your soul
and kept him in for ages
Look how one little frozen ball
can break his iron cages
I am that bad boy in your class
that said that school is out
Today, no cars, no trucks can pass
Until we end this bout
It’s time you saw the world in white
It’s not that hard at all
Start from below, unlike I do
because I always fall !!”
As I woke up, there was no veil
only some signs of ice
So I sank back to sleep again
that snowy dream was nice
