A/N--The Bean-Sidhe( or banshee)is a feminine spirit in Irish mythology, usually seen as an omen of death and a messenger from the Otherworld. In legend, a banshee is a fairy woman who begins to wail if someone is about to die

Enchanting
Frightening
Beautiful
the death song sounds
to call forth the souls of the dyeing
alone forever alone
she wonders
dressed in the green of her homeland
her eyes full of sadness
death is all she sees
a sound so beautiful
a sound so eerie
keening for the souls of the damned
(Keening is a form of vocal lament associated with mourning that is traditional in Scotland and Ireland.)
