The Beast II

The beast has been slain,

The hero is the evil wizard’s bane,

Peace rests in one’s soul,

And “Yours Truly” had paid the dark toll.

The one who held him back,

Was the one who delivered the fatal attack.

To kill the beast and save the town,

And nobody could keep a frown.

The beast was controlled by the local wizard,

Who manipulated the giant lizard.

He attempted to flee,

But everyone could see.

Everyone sprang to action,

To meet him, who had no reaction.

He fell to their fists and rocks,

And he hit the ground like a steel box.

The hero who had slain the beast,

Was rewarded with a might feast.

He ate it with the town, his wife, and child,

And even the sauce wasn’t too mild.

For once and at last,

All bad things had come to pass.

A happy ending came that everyone had sought,

A happy ending that had to be fought.

And they lived happily ever after…

I decided to take a change in my views of poetry. Before this, I have done plenty of dark stuff that I felt was getting too strong in nature. So, in the end, I looked back at one poem. "The Beast", in particular. I ended so that it seemed that all the men, women and children would be killed. I honestly didn't like that. So, this came around and I gave it a happy ending.

Excellent!! Job well done. You make me proud! Keep up the good work. Not everything has to be cast in gloom and sorrow to get the point across. This poem is methodical yet, it is also laced with freedom and glee. I enjoyed reading it. What's next....¥¿¥

I dunno! Doom and gloom is kinda my thing, but I am I realized that the world is not all evil. That's what I think I was trying to say, but the world is good in some spots. I think I'll be going on and off. :D

Ohh Wonderful!!! I love it!! Fabulous Job!!

Peace is a good thing. Shine a little life on life and it's all better.

That was really cool.I liked this one.I like poems about the supernatural. You should check out the ones I did and give me your opinion on them."One Foggy Night",Strange Happenings",and "Creatures Of The Night."I was trying to expand from usual stuff.Great job on this.
