Black Island

Poetry By: CaptainDana

It's been a long time since I've posted something on here... sorry about that. Life sort of sucked me in. Anyways, here's a poem I wrote a little while back. I was just thinking about how much I want to leave this town.

Here he comes Broken teenage soul Under the street lamps Crying He can't breathe He can't smile Only suffocate in the night Run from the fire It will take you Escape to the seashore Leave us behind Leave me here Sail away The swirling constellations Will lead you home Do not look back Do not look back at me Take my love and throw it in the night Spy through a telescope Find your promised land Dream in coloured fog Burst at the seams Soon I'll follow you To our promised land Alone Rain from the mountains Fall into my eyes Blind me I can't see you not next to me In my mind Subconscious Wandering all the time Do not forget me Sail away Take me with you Sail away
