Glistening wings
Starburst of light
Shadows of rainbows
Drawing me near
I see you resting
In the moonlight
Watching the waves
Crash to the shore
You turn away
As the dawn crests the sky
The moon starts to fade
And I see death in your eyes
Finally you see me
Sitting not far
You reach out as the moon hides
And then you fade
A lasting good bye.
