My love for you is as the spring itself,

Ripe with wonder, and beauty and light,

You were my sun, you were my earth,

And your eyes did pierce the battlements of my heart,

Oh beloved one,

You no longer glow from afar!

And I cry for you now, for my love held so ever dear,

Your name whispers,

Your image lingers,

But you no longer stand beside me!

Return to me, I beg of you this night,

Return...

*

Did you hear the screams echoing in the valleys?

The pain that forever dwells within them,

Did you know the war is not yet over?

That you would sacrifice yourself,

Only for them to curse you, and betray your name,

Oh beloved one,

You no longer dance upon the stars!

I reach out to you,

Like fingers falling through the clouds,

And I stumble without your touch

Return to me, I beg of you this night,

Return...

*

Take these chains from my eyes!

Flee not from my destruction, but behold!

The anger I savour shall cleanse you all,

For them to love me, they must learn to loathe me,

And only then,

Can I undo what has been done,

Oh beloved one,

You no longer guide me in the dark!

Let your light shine upon my wavering path,

Save me!

For I am lost, falling, always falling without end!

Return to me, I beg of you this night,

Return...

*

The walls of my life close in about me,

The fire burns through,

The metal falls upon my check,

And the breath of my soul diminishes,

The darkness has risen,

And it is I, who has crumbled solely into oblivion

For I too am one of the lonely,

Oh beloved one,

I no longer see you beyond my own demise!

My soul burns

My eyes fade,

The life I knew shatters within flame,

And I alone am left in sorrow,

The final witness encased within my prison,

The iron cage of my own being,

Lost eternally under darkness.

Return to me, I beg of you this night,

Return...
