The setting sun
The gathering darkness
The misty shadows
The still wind
Drooping branches
Night has come
To take over
With its faithful messenger
Slowly creeping
Softly whispering
Sleep comes on
Its restless fingers
Tenderly stroking
Quietly smothering
Playing silent music
On heavy lids
Oh ever so slowly
It entices
Drugs
And posses
The deepest depth of the being
Victory!
The body succumbs.
Now, slowly yearning
Not retaliating
The being... Has lost
Sleep takes over
