There we stood

surrounded by preening psychopaths

and gluttonous brutes

 spoilt neurotics, peevish do-gooders,

delusional prodigals, loud-mouthed bullies,

back-stabbing perverts, inbred drunks

 voyeuristic snitches, puerile cyberjunkies

and jingoistic fanatics
