Dream (Wyz)

Poetry By: Jayson Wyz

Going way back, this was the first poem I ever wrote. I was in 6th grade (possibly 7th). If I remember correctly, I wrote it for an English assignment.

Despite its age and simplicity, it is still one of my favorites.

I know a place to get away,
Where all of night turns into day.

It is a land of fantasy,
Yet it may seem a reality.

It exists inside of everyone,
A mother, father, daughter, and son.

A place to go when the day is old,
Whether you are hot, warm, or even cold.

A place to go without a care,
And never worry about the air.

This land of make-believe may seem as a gleam,
But it is as clear as a Dream.
