One-Horned Horse - (Wyz)

Poetry By: Jayson Wyz

One of my first poems, so it was likely written while I was in middle school, probably 6th or 7th grade).

I would actually classify this in a form of Trilogy, of poems. Three poems I wrote about three mythical creatures, each written in the same style. I was little when I wrote this, so don't expect too much from it.

I sat in the field,

As a sparkle filled my eyes.

I threw down my shield

And chased these little flies.

I came to a halt

To see something new.

I closed my eyes and felt a jolt.

I opened my eyes and saw two.

I found myself standing face to face to face.

They then started to run

And I found myself in a chase.

They ran and ran toward the sun.

These animals look like a horse,

Yet they also had a horn.

I then felt a sudden force

And knew this animal was a unicorn.
