When faced with a decision the best
outcome is the one we wanted -
The next best thing is that it didn't
work out - the worst thing is that we
took no action at all. Wall flower took
a chance and got dissapointed - his hearts
desire was with someone else - However the
Shrinking Violet was attracted to Wallflower
She picks the flowers out of the garbage - finds
the courage to walk over and gives the Carnation
to Wallflower who got exactly what he wanted -
someone who was attracted to him, who wanted to be
with him. He got what he THOUGHT he wanted exactly
- to love and be loved.

Petals fall
Stood up standing
Flowered wall

Zero hour
Deep breath swallow
Ego crushes
Stems and all

She arrives
Hand in hand
White Carnation
Garbage can

Shrinking violet
Understands
Picking flowers
For this man

This is a beautiful poem. It is funny how someone else can surely restore faith in lova again. Especially after someone destroys it.. I may have it all wrong but this is my take on it.. I like it.

U got it right - LOL I may be all wrong - But here it goes.
Wallflowers intention was to present the flowers to a women he desired. I'm not sure if he had a date with her or was j7ust going to make his move. This was a big deal to Wallflower because he is shy and introverted. So anyway the woman of his dreams shows up with someone another man(woman would work here but that is getting way out there.)So he throws the flower in the garbage. Shrinking violet sees this and picks up the carnation and presents it to wallflower - =HAppy ending - You got it right - Thanks for reading and commenting
