This poem is not about the love between a man and woman, it is instead a possible relationship between the sun and the earth.

She awakes. The hour is early.
Darkness surrounds her.
She shivers. It is cool.
She does not feel him.
The veils surround her rounded form.
Spiraling about her blue, grey, and white
lying against her skin.
She waits impatiently for him to return.

Not long. A warm finger extends.
She senses his heat approaching.
Warm, strong arms touch her softly.
The coolness leaves her sedate shape.
Little by little her flimsy raiment is removed.
She sees his face come ever near her.
Now, she lies exposed before her lover.
She reaches upward to caress his face.

They are eternal lovers
bound to each other.
She filled with life.
He forged from strength.
Loving and needing each other.
Suspended there within that universe
wanting nothing else but to love and be loved.
She sighs as he leaves her. The cold returns.
