A prophecy I wrote for a D&D game I DM'ed some years ago.

Darkness shall cry to darkness, Herald of an evil risen anew, Light shall sway and falter, Night shall be swift and true.

Death shall stalk the living, Hope shall whither and fade, Destiny seeks the many, Though few can it persuade.

Five will answer the summons, Five will answer the call, Swift to retribution, Swift to evil's fall.

Born of a world torn asunder, Far beyond the starry sky, Sustained by the faith of magic, Renewer of those who've died.

Rider upon plains of silver, Warrior brave and sure, The rage that burns within thee, Your sorrow's only cure.

Forgotten since the world was broken, Hidden from the light of day, Magic Ascendant's chosen, For sins of the past shall pay.

Brother of rock and mountain, Keeper of nature's song, Defender of those who are weary, Slayer of those who do wrong.

Blood whose legacy is evil, Heart that is strong and pure, Warrior of Justice and Mercy, Immune to darkness' lure.

Three swords shall be stolen, Three swords shall stir and wake, An epic quest will unfold, With good and law at stake.

An evil that consumes all nations, Will rise if the five shall fail, Then must fate be rewritten, Blind chance shall then prevail.
