The Imaginary Kiss

This was written about an actual dream...

It started with a look

One that burrowed into my soul

A look that held promises never voiced

There was a beauty about it

A feeling to it

Inspiring emotion deep down…into my heart

Before it even reached my lips…it set me ablaze

For a moment, I close my eyes

I touched my mouth

Attempting to cool the flesh

He touched my face

Not with his hands…but with his eyes

Searching for something

Attempting to burn me

This look…

Going from tender

To amazed

To smoldering

Almost angry in its intensity

Breaths becoming shallow

My heart wanting to beat right out of my chest

My stomach clenching with desire

I feel his hand reach behind my neck

Pulling me closer

Our lips, our hearts, our passions

Begging for this moment

And then…

I wake…
