Softly and delicately
Your wings enfold me.
Humans like me
Were never meant to see
Such beautiful things.
Your whisper in my hair
Will fade without your care.
People too often stare.
We don't make a good pair
Despite your gentle words.
I don't know how to feel
But my heart won't ever heal.
Is this world real,
A world where you kneel
On the ground in pain?
Red comes from your chest
I suppose you know the rest.
I did try my best.
Was your love just a test
For me to learn from?
An angel is what god sent
To assist my belated assent
Into heaven I went.
I am no longer a mere fragment.
An angel made me whole.
