Now I lay me down to sleep
With one eye open I shall weep
And rest this back; a bed of knifes
Fragments of these fleeting lives
Now I lay me down to sleep
My fingers wound I deftly keep
Around the handle of this blade
Where nightmares reign that once pervade
Over a sickly dark market place
Where I'm meet and soon displaced
With the watchman's words in case:
"You have no soul to change this race"
Now I lay me down to sleep
Leave me here to softly reap
All the strings of shadows death:
Slowly let the night bequeath
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord I never wake
