The Last Stall

ACT I

Scene 1

Adam: at locker after school

Jason, Skylar, Evan: Walk past Adam, Jason stops to talk to Adam

Jason:

Hey! Adam, right? My friends and I are going to hang out at my house. Want to come?

ADAM:

Yeah! Sure! I'll be there at seven.

JASON:

Kay dude. See you then!

Jason: Wraps his arm around Skylar, keeps walking

Adam: Quickly stuffs everything into his locker, walks in opposite direction

Scene 2

Adam: Arrives at Jason's house with pizza, rings door bell

*Doorbell

Evan:Opens door, takes pizza

Evan:

Thanks Man! They're in the room on the left.

Adam: Walks in room

Adam:

Hey Jason

JASON:

(Breaking from kissing Skylar)

Oh, hey dude! Come sit down, there's a seat over there by the window. (Pointing to chair)

Adam: Walks to chair and sits

Evan:

(Walks in knocking on the wall)

Adam brought pizza, it's in the kitchen!

Skylar and other girls: run out talking and giggling

JASON:

we were thinking about going to the school tonight, you coll with that?

Adam:

What are we doing there?

JASON:

Dont you know? Every night at 12 A.M. the girl's bathroom is haunted by the ghost of Ivy Smith.

Adam:

Why?!? What happened to her?

JASON:

It's said that the head cheerleader tortured her, and dunked Ivy's head in the toilet, drowning her, back in the 70's. Now She haunts the bathroom waiting for revenge.

Adam:

And you believe it's true?

JASON:

I don't know, that's what we're going to see, and you are going to do it for us.

Adam:

Me?

JASON:

Yeah1 Callie, Skylar's friend said she'd date you if you went in there.

Adam:

Ahhh, I guess I'll do it. I don't believe in ghost.

Girls: Walk through door, laughing and gigling, hanging all over Evan

Evan:

(Throws a slice of pissa to Jason, looks at Adam)

Sorry dude, the girls ate it all.

JASON:

(Chewing on pizza)

Hey Evan, I told Adam about the plans.

Evan:

(Pats Adam on shoulder)

So? You gonna do it?

Adam:
 

Sure! I'm not scared, when are we going?

Evan:

(Looks at phone)

It's eleven now, Ivy should be showing her face soon. So, lets go now.

JASON:

Okay. Let's take my car!

Girls: giggling

Scene 3

Standing in front of M.T.H.S. (High School)

Adam:

How are we going to get in?

Evan:

I've got a key. I stole it from Coach Punger and made a copy, without him finding out.

Adam:

Ahhh? Okay?

Evan:

(Opens front door)

There we're in.

All: Quietly walks to bathroom

Skylar:

It's this one. That's why only the freshmen us it! You go first!

Boys: Slowly walks into bathroom

Adam:

(Adam going in first)

Where would "she" be?

JASON:

They say it's the last stall, go check.

Adam: Walks to last stall, with the others behind

Adam:

What now?

Jason: shuts the stall door, grabs Adam pushing his head near the toilet

Ivy:

Ha ha ha! You populars' just haven't learned your lesson, have you?

JASON:

(Stops)

Do you hear that Evan?

Evan:

Yeah, uhhh... I'm sure it's nothing

Jason: Continues to smother Adam

Ivy:

It's me, Ivy. I'm here to take revenge.

Evan:

I'm sure it's just the girls playing a prank.

JASON:

Evan, Skylar's friend picked them up to go to the movies five minutes ago.

Ivy: Laughing

JASON:

Aaaahhh! I'm getting out of here!

Jason, Evan: Run out screaming

Adam: nervously crawls to the corner of the stall

Adam:

What are you going to do to me!?

Ivy:

No, no, the question is what are you going to do for me?

Adam:

For you? I'll do anything!

Ivy:

I want you to be your own person. Don't try to follow the popular kids. They only feed on other people's weaknesses. Know that you are strong. You don't need them to have friends. Be yourself and embrace it.

Adam:

I will do that.

 

Ivy: smiles, turns around and walks away.

Adam:

Wow, I never thought of that. They make other people feel bad to make themselves "cooler." Thanks Ivy.
