The debris clear around where Rido landed. He gets up and looks around him.
Rido: Where did that kid go? I swear I hit him dead on! Did I obliterate him?
He looks over to where Guki and Sarah are fighting.
Rido: Well guess that means I won my fight faster than he did. Heh Heh…
Just as he is saying this, the ground behind him bursts open, Oscar leaping out. Rido doesn’t have any time to react, trying to turn around in time to see what was happening, but only in time to be punched across the face by Oscar. Rido goes sprawling down to the ground, stunned as to what happened.
Oscar just smiles confidently, brushing dirt away from his clothes.
Oscar: You wish! All I had to do was punch the ground underneath me … very hard…and it gave way just enough for me to avoid getting hit. The impact did cause rubble to bury me, though…almost thought I would suffocate under there.
Rido: You…what? You lucked out! Stop acting all arrogant like you pulled a genius maneuver!
He pulls at his chain and goes back up into the air.
Sarah puts her hands in front of her, a magical shield appearing inches in front of her, blocking a kick from Guki. Guki jumps backwards, then leaps forward, with a flying kick towards Sarah. Sarah raises another shield to block this kick.
Guki: How many of my attacks do you think you can block? I’ve barely used any of my energy at all this fight, and how many more shields do you think you have the power for?
Guki’s feet begin to glow with energy.
The light around his feet fade, revealing winged boots and leggings going up to his knees.
Guki: Now then! My Rapid Wings will finish this!
He dashes at Sarah, dirt picking up all around him by the pure speed he is running. He kicks at Sarah, who attempts to block it with another magic shield, but the shield shatters under the kick’s force. Sarah is hit straight across her chest and sent flying away. Guki dashes forward, managing to run faster than Sarah was flying, getting behind her and catching her by putting one leg straight forward and letting her fly into it.
Sarah’s entire body bursts into flames, catching with it much of Guki’s leg. He jumps back, and hastily puts out the flame.
Rido is high in the air above Oscar.
He crashes towards Oscar many times, and Oscar tries his best to stay out of the way.
Oscar: Damnit! No way I can avoid these forever! I have to face it head on!
He turns and stands his ground against one of the incoming attacks, putting his hand out in front of him.
His hand connects directly with Rido.
The two attacks collide, and in a streak of Tenshirou Moon’s light Rido goes sliding across the floor, losing his control of his attack. Oscar hunches over, blood dripping down his right arm as it falls limp to his side.
Oscar: Okay…maybe not the smartest idea I’ve ever had…I…can’t seem to move my arm. Guess I broke it.
Rido picks himself up from the ground, clutching his shoulder. There is a large gash across his right shoulder.
Rido: What in the hell was that!? If that had hit me at another point in my spin, that would have torn me in two!
He takes a close look at Oscar, noticing the limp arm.
Rido: But he’s all out of juice now…I won’t have to worry about him trying to do that again.
He jumps back into the air. Oscar looks around helplessly, trying to figure out what to do.
He runs at full sprint to a nearby wall and punches open an entrance to a building, jumping quickly inside right as Rido crash-lands near him.
Rido: Hey! You coward! Get out from in there!
After a few moments of not receiving a response, he peers inside.
Oscar bursts out onto the roof of the building. Rido looks up in surprise as Oscar begins jumping from rooftop to rooftop.
In a single leap he launches from the ground and lands on a roof near Oscar. Oscar doesn’t turn or hesitate from this, just continues to charge across rooftops.
Rido: Hey! You can’t escape from me this way!
He lands on the roof where Rido is still connected by a chain. He rips the chain from the roof with his good arm and pulls at it with all his might. This causes Rido, still connected at the other end, to get pulled towards Oscar rapidly. Oscar turns and begins spinning around, twirling the chain, and Rido, around him rapidly.
He releases the chain, which causes Rido to go flying away rapidly. Rido crashes against a wall, then drifts slowly to the ground.
Sarah’s body continues to burn with a flaming aura. Guki attempts to kick her again, but his leg once again can’t take the heat of the flames.
Guki: This damn fire! All you’re doing is exhausting all your energy! You can’t keep this up forever! And the moment you let it down I’ll finish you!
Sarah: You’re the one who doesn’t seem to get it. All I’ve been doing this entire fight is stalling you, and I have not used anywhere near all my energy. You have severely underestimated just how much stronger I’ve become since the last time we met.
Guki: You’re bluffing! You’re running low on energy now and you know it! It has not been long since last time, the difference can’t be that much.
Sarah: It’s plenty of time, considering how non-stop my training has been. You also seem to have underestimated my determination to become stronger. But I think I’ve stalled long enough.
She raises her arms above her head in the same fashion she had done earlier, and electricity and fire spark in her hands.
Sarah: I’ve just been trying to stall you long enough to recover the attack you made me lose earlier. Now it’s completed!
The energies grow in her hands, becoming so massive it lights up the sky above her. Guki is shocked, and looks at it fearfully.
He turns and tries to run, moving at an incredible pace with his winged shoes.
She lowers her arms in front of her and the energy bursts forward in a blazing pattern, light energy surrounded in circles by fire. Guki looks back and his eyes widen moments before the energy engulfs him. There is massive explosion, and Guki is no more.
Oscar jumps from his roof and lands near where Rido landed. Rido is hunched over, bloody. Oscar smiles and waves at him.
Rido: What? You - you think this is over! Just cause of one lucky…
He picks himself up from the ground.
Oscar: Oh, come on! If we continue going now, you could die and lose your chance at the prize altogether!
He bends over, ready to launch from the ground again. At the last second, Oscar grabs onto his shirt, and they both fly into the air together.
Rido: Hey! Get off! I can’t balance the weight of two people, only myself!
Oscar tightens a grip with his good arm around Rido’s neck.
Oscar: Wah! We went really high!
They begin to fall from the air rapidly.
Rido: Let go! I can’t control it like this!
Oscar: Ah! We’re falling!
They wrestle and little bit to see who is going to land first, resulting in Oscar riding on Rido’s back straight into the ground. The ground crumbles around where they land.
