A door opens, and Melanie walks through. She surveys the room. It is filled with swords, shields, different armors, and other valuable looking treasures.
Melanie: Just as I thought, my instincts are always right.
Iricryo: Oh! It’s just as beautiful as I imagined it would be!
He runs into the room and starts shoving valuable looking items into his pockets.
Rook: Doesn’t it bother you at all that these items were taken off of trapped players?
Sarah: This was all I was looking for. Belonged to one of my friends.
Melanie: You know, Oscar is still wearing practically the same equipment he started the game with. I wonder if we could find him something better in here.
Iricryo: Leave that to me! No one can find better equipment combinations to me.
Flash to Oscar, wearing oversized heavy plate armor with a helm that he can barely see out of and a long purple cape that clashes with the colors of the armor.
Sarah: How about something more reasonable…
Flash to Oscar, who is wearing a similar outfit to what he was wearing before, except the color-scheme is darker and his shirt is a bit baggier.
Melanie: I guess this trip wasn’t a complete waste after-all…we go to save someone and just get into a big battle, but there was some good stuff here.
Rook: Speaking of which, if you’ve spent enough time here, can we please get moving?
A couple of Militia guards are walking on patrol in Lecithin, as they walk they pass Ryan, who is standing, back pressed against a wall, talking to another man.
Militia Guard 1: So, we’re really planning on allying ourselves with those High Council guys? What are the Mayors thinking?
Militia Guard 2: Well, even Gradier approved. I suppose they must know what they’re doing.
Militia Guard 1: But they completely tore this city apart, now they come back to the same city to be our friends?
Militia Guard 2: It’s not official just yet; they are meeting here with the Mayors to discuss the terms.
Militia Guard 1: I see…better be good terms to make up for what they’ve done.
Militia Guard 2: Just knowing you don’t have to fight them, aren’t those good enough terms?
Ryan is talking to a tall, sleek man with dark black hair that is spiked wildly and messily. The man is wearing a combat suit similar to Dylan, with the exception that his is baggy. He has a rocket launcher as long as he is slung across his back.
Man: Are you sure she knows this is where she’s supposed to be meeting us?
Ryan: Calm down, Sedetzu, she’ll be here. She’s never missed a report, running a little late isn’t the end of the world.
Sedetzu: You’re too lenient on your men, sometimes, General Klausseger.
A title flashes under him reading, “Sedetzu, Lieutenant of the High Council’s Empire.”
Ryan: General? Heh…still not used to that title…I’m still not sure why Domo made me General for the High Council’s entire Empire. That’s a lot of people to command.
Sedetzu: You’re the only one of us to come from a military family, plus you’re not stupid like the majority of the rest of that group. It was a pretty easy decision, I’m sure.
Willix: I hear you will not be present in the meeting yourself. I wanted to be sure I had a chance to properly introduce myself to you, then. I’m the mayor of Lecithin, Willix.
Ryan: Ryan, apparently General for the High Council. I’m busy attending to a few other matters, but just trust that whatever Domo says goes double for me as well.
Ryan: Well here comes one of them now.
Dylan: Sorry I’m late, General Klausseger, but the perfect opportunity arose to finally take out those Spidersilks once as for all, so I had to make sure it happened.
A title flashes under her reading, “Dylan, Lieutenant for the High Council’s Empire.”
Ryan: So, they’re finally done with? Good work! I never expected it to be done this quickly, I was actually afraid I might have had to go down there to deal with them personally.
Dylan: Yeah, I know, an obscure little organization for us to be concerned with, but Domo was afraid they might grow too much in power if left unchecked.
Willix: Was…a Militia officer missing an arm present when it happened?
Dylan: Present? He was ultimately the one responsible for the downfall.
Willix: Well…that could be a problem…if you’ll excuse me I have matters of my own to attend to now.
He walks away. Ryan notices Sniper.
Sniper: I’m Sniper, former member of the Spidersilks. I was hoping the High Council would have some use to me.
Ryan: Sure, we’re always taking new guys into the Empire. Sedetzu, do me a favor and get this guy settled while I discuss some details with Dylan.
He leaves with Sniper. As the walk, they pass a group of three people, a teenage boy, a small boy, and a teenage girl, looking through the town.
Teenage Boy: Do you even know what the members of the High Council look like?
He has medium-length fire red hair that falls to the sides. His face is without any form of a tan and has a few freckles. His body is slightly shorter than average and while not slender, lacks any kind of muscle. He wears all red, including his gloves and shoes.
Small Boy: I know what my brothers look like, Fariman, that’s all we need.
He looks like a he’s somewhere in the 10-12 age range. He has short, dark brown hair. He wears blue shorts that look a size too small and a red t-shirt. He also has a green jacket tied around his waist and is wearing sandals.
Fariman: And you’re sure that your brothers can get us in, Stevan?
Stevan: My brothers are Phil and Jack! And haven’t you heard? Phil’s the leader! He’ll definitely make me a full member of the High Council! And when he puts me on the Council I’ll give both of you high ranking positions to thank you for saving me out there. A lot of people want to take advantage of me for easy experience since I’m so young.
Fariman: (In-thought): Well…I was aiming at you…by some stroke of luck I end up hitting another guy attacking you. A brother of the leader of the High Council, how lucky.
Stevan: Oh, I’ve meaning to ask, who’s this girl following you around everywhere?
The girl looks like she’s in her early teens. She has long black hair and loose, white robes. Her expression is meek and mild, and gives her an overall defenseless look.
Fariman: Her name’s Mae. I don’t really know much about her, she never talks. But we beat one guy together a long time ago and since then, she’s been following me everywhere.
Fariman: Oh, and she does that, too.
They see William sitting in front of a large clock, agitatedly kicking his feet. Some members of the Militia look at him nervously.
William: When’s this freaking meeting going to start…
Stevan: Oh, he knows about the meeting, I bet he knows where I could find my brothers!
Stevan: Hey, do you know where the High Council people are meeting.
Stevan: Oh good, cause I’m going to join it!
William: Go find Ryan, he’s around here somewhere. He’s the one in charge of recruits into the Empire.
Stevan: Oh, I’m not joining the Empire, I’m going to be a Council member, and get my own share when we win the game.
William: You think you’re funny, kid.
He gets up and picks Stevan up by his shirt, holding him above the ground.
William: Look, you stupid kid, it takes a lot to be a member of the Council, and there is no place for children! And I don’t have time to be dealing with –
Stevan lets out a frightened, high-pitched screech. It resonates in William’s ears. He looks surprised for moment, then Stevan’s body bursts into thorny spikes. The spike’s go straight through the hand William was using to hold Stevan up by, forcing him to drop him. William looks at his blood soaked hand.
William: You’re going to die for that you little punk!
Fariman: W-What did you do! You just pissed off a High Council member! Don’t bring him back here! He’ll kill all of us!
Mae pulls a giant hammer at of thin air and holds it in attack ready position. William looks at it for a moment, sweat-drop forming. He is smacked hard by it and sent flying into the base of the clock. The clock collapses on him.
Fariman: What are you guys doing? He’s so going to kill us now!
William picks the clock from himself, looking really pissed off now. Fariman looks at him nervously, then puts both hands in front of himself.
A stream of thousands of fireballs launch at William. There is a giant fiery explosion surrounding the clock. Fariman watches nervously at the explosion clears.
Fariman: We did it! We beat a member of the High Council. Guess they should know better than to mess with us. Proved who the strongest really is.
He charges at them, and they all look paley before fleeing for their lives.
Fariman: We got to get the hell out of this city!
Stevan: What about finding my brothers?
A scared-face emoticon appears over Mae’s face and they flee the city gates. William tries to follow them, but he is grabbed by Maggie.
Maggie: We don’t have time for random assaults now, particularly when we’re trying to look good. Just calm down. Here, I was out getting these for you, as Domo instructed. I know you lost your last pair.
Maggie: And these are rare and powerful, unlike that junk pair you were wearing before. So there, now there’s no need to be angry. Now come on, the meetings about to start.
