Hellboy: Love at First Sight...Or Not... (Act 2)

Act 2

Scene 1

The air has a horrid stench like death. John and Chryssa are far from where they should be. Chryssa is very exhausted from carrying John.

Chryssa: Can I take a rest? (John nods) Thanks.

(They land and Chryssa immediately collapses on the floor. John gives her some water and he drinks some himself. They rest for a few hours and then Chryssa gets up to go. John stops her when he hears something move in the trees closest to them)

Chryssa: What’s wrong?

John: I heard something moving over there. (Slight pause of silence) Maybe it is nothing…

(Chryssa screams and a horde of werewolf like men attacks them in all directions.)

John: Let us go! Chryssa! Do something!

Chryssa: I can’t…I…(Muffled sound as a gag is put into her mouth. John tries to get away from them but he couldn’t because they knocked him unconscious.)

Interlude

Eerie Voice: You are far from home…Hassia…Why did you run away from us…You are like your brother….The one they call…HELLBOY…You both runaway from the truth…You could be powerful like your sister…Come back…Hassia…

(Chryssa wakes up fear in her chest when she sees a face she knows all to well…)

Scene 2

Chryssa: Anuma…Why did you capture us? Father knows I will never return, and same with our brother.

(Anuma, a tall woman of about 25 who looks more like Hellboy than Chryssa, has bright red skin and horns? Like a ram. She has a pleasant looking face with green eyes, but a black heart. She came to do what her father wanted her to do…)

Anuma: Sister…You know how much we miss you in Hell. You were the only one who came out looking like mother. But, you know brother and I have much darker hearts than you do…just face it…Your doomed to die like our mother did!

(She cackles and John awakens to see another half-demon who looked just like Hellboy. He then sees Chryssa crying and he felt powerful energy surge go through him to try to get free. He was soaked with sweat but he was able to break free. He grabbed his gun and aims it at the half-demon woman.)

John: (Shaking with fear, but when he looks at Chryssa, he gains some courage) If you harm her at all, I will shoot!

Anuma: (Looking and laughing at John) A human trying to defeat a powerful sorceress like myself? How adorable. Get him!

(The werewolves run toward him but he shoots killing one and then another, until they are all gone. Breathing heavily, he raises his gun for the last time…)

John: Let her free, or else I will shoot…

Chryssa: John, do not! She will kill you…

(Walks over to Chryssa and kisses her on the lips. She recoiled from the warmth and force of his kiss)

John: I will not let her hurt you. You are worth fighting for.

(Chryssa smiled with tears in her eyes. John walks over to Anuma and she grins the most horrid grin.)

Anuma: Now do not scream when I kill you. I hate that sound. It makes me feel like I did not kill you fast enough.

John: (A shiver went down his spine, but he stood strong) Tell me when.

Anuma: When!

(John ducked the blast and shot her right where Red told him if he ever faced any half-demons, right above the breast. Anuma crumpled to the ground and barely was able to utter a single thing but...)

Anuma: You…You…ASSHOLE! You will regret ever killing me…

(John untied Chryssa who was shaking with fear, and they ran away)

Scene 2

(Hellboy and Liz have been walking for hours. They stopped and took a rest against a tree. A dark figure walked into the scene and Hellboy knows exactly who it is…)

Hellboy: (Whispers almost inaudibly) Father…

Father: Yes son, it is me. (Walks around and sees the resting Liz. He kneels and touches her face) Very beautiful woman my son. How did you go about making her fall for a brute like yourself? (Grins maliciously)

Hellboy: (Cringes from the iciness in his father’s voice) We love each other, (He shows pain when he tries to call him…) Father…I do not know what I would do without her. You loved mother once, so why could I not love her?

Father: (Walks over to his son and looks into his eyes) I did love your mother, once. Nevertheless, she just had to give me a son. After your birth, she was unneeded, but I wanted one more son in case you did not follow through. So we tried again and had your sister Anuma. Now, on to businesses. Your two little sister’s are off being killed by…

Hellboy: (Stops his father) Wait…I have TWO sisters? I thought…

Father: (Laughs and interrupts his son) Your mother died when she had the sister you know of, Anuma. However, I remarried and had another baby, Hassia. Or who you call Chryssa…

(Hellboy has a surprised look on his face and he wakes up Liz. Liz wakes up and sees an almost a replica of Hellboy. She screams when Hellboy’s Father puts his hand on her head. Hellboy tried to stop him, but Liz was put into a very deep comma before he was able to do anything. His father looks at him with an accomplished look on his face.)

Father: Calm down son she is all right (Looking at Hellboy) Now back to business. You need to tell your human, John, to stop meddling in our business. He has killed Anuma and he does not know how critical she is for our…your future.

Hellboy: Wait a minute…(Stands up and walks over to his father) You are telling me that John has killed one of the most powerful sorceresses'? (To himself) Good for him! (Directed to his father) Now tell me how a human could do that?

Father: Well, I believe that Hassia may have been helping him…How she could do that, I do not know. Nevertheless, son, you are destined to rule the world alongside your now one sister. You can not stop running away from your destiny.

Hellboy: (Rolling his eyes) Father you know that I can not. I do not want to be part of the destruction of my girlfriends, children’s, friends…(Pauses and looks directly into his father’s eyes) my home.

Father: (Laughs cruelly at his son’s comment) You can not possibly call this dreadful place your home? Now you WILL follow your destiny. You can try to run, but you will never run too fast. Now let me remind you of how it will be…

(Hellboy screams in pain as his father touches his face and Hellboy sees the future. He crumples to the floor, and his father disappears.)
