As I eyed my target, I drew my silver bow back, ready to fire up in the air. With my arms, I followed to where the giant bird flew then I let go of the arrow and waited anxiously for it to hit the target. I heard a loud cry as the giant bird began to fall onto the ground.

"Great job Valria, let's see how big it truly is." My brother, Manson said as we raced towards the bird.

When we got there, all we saw where the brown feathers, scattered all over the place. Someone, or something claimed it before we could.

From a distance, we heard our father called. Manson dashed off first while I stayed for a while longer. When I was about to leave, I heard some sticks break; someone or something was there. I drew my bow and aimed everywhere for whatever or whoever it was. I then withdrew and put my bow over my shoulder, when I heard my father call again, the last thing I saw was a pair of crimson eyes and a silver horn.

Dinner was already made by the time I came back. I placed my bow and arrows doen and sat next to my eldest brother, Dmitri and served myself a meal.

"Someone stole our bird. We were going to measure it to see how big it was. From where we were, it was giantic." Manson said, giving me a glance.

"Oh?" Dmitri asked, taking a bite off a rare steak, his tone anxiously nervous.

I nodded in response then helpped my mother with the dishes. All I could think of were those crimson eyes and that silver horn. Never in my life have I seen creatures with those eyes and a horn. Not being able to take it any more, I grab my bow and arrow and head out, not realizing at first that my eldest brother was snaeking out int he back, acting way more drunk than a normal drunkard. I ignored him and head off into the forest to search the crimson eyed creature.

Realizing it was becoming dark, I decided to head back home when I heard a loud thud. I turned my body around rapidly to see a black creature with crimson eyes and a silver horn.

Slowly and carefully, I reached out to touch the creature, it jerked it's body but did nothing else. I felt both dazed and sadden by the creature for it was wounded badly. When I went to the waters to give it a drink, he seemed to try and get up.

"No," I soothed at him, telling him not to do anything rash. "You lay back down and I will tend you until the day is out." The creature looked at me then layed back down, his head resting on a pile of leaves. On cue, I went back to the waters and brought back just enough to clear the wound and give him something to drink. Once the water did it's work, I laid next to him until dawn approached.

The sun hit my eyes and finally I decided to wake up, when I did, I found out the creature was gone. Frantically, I picked up my weapon and went searching. I then found a man taking a drink of the waters with his bare hands.

"Oh pardon me....." He started then stopped dead when he faced me. "Valria?"

I was taken aback when I was my elder brother, lsot at words at first, I dropped my weapons in pure shock. Finally, I took up the courage to ask, "Have you by any chance seen a creature, a black horse like creature with crimson eyes and a silver horn?"

I waited for an answer in which it never came until a long while after. Dmitir seemed hesitant, I wonderd if he came across one of theose creatures I have encountered.

"Black Unicorn sister and yes, I have," He siad then bit his bottom lip as if he didn't want to tell me more but I protested him to go on. "And that Black Unicorn you saw and tend... was me."

I wa takne abakc by what my brother siad, but before I could say anything, I heard our father call, his booming voice clearly upset, very upset.

Once we came back home, my parents looked sterned, their arms even crossed.

"Have you any idea what time it is?" My mother asked, giving us the eye. I bowed my head down in shame, but before I could speak a word, Dmitir spoke up.

"It was my fault, I went out and got injured," Dmitri said which was partially true. "Valria came and tend to my wound, I was out for a long time and by the time I felt better, it was dawn. I am sorry."

I looked at him with symphony and shock. My parents thought about what he said and told him that we were off the hook for now, they also called a doctor but we said no at the same time. Our parents looked at us as if we just saw ghosts.

"I feel better you guys, honestly, Valria made a fantastic nurse so no need to worry." Dmitri said, takihng my hand as we dashed up to his room.

***

Once inside, he looked left nad right carefully to make sure no one was there then he closed and locked the door.

Turning his body to face me, he placed both strong hands on my shoulder and loked deep within my eyes.

"You must promise, never to never tell a single soul about what I am. For if they found out, they will go hunting for me, and white or black unicorns, they can grant you thriteen wishes of your disire. So keep to your promise sister, and do not tell." My brother said firmly.

I nodded my head and swore in Syrian that I will keep his identity a secret and if the secret is let out, I so may as well die for letting go of the promsie. When we hugged each toher to seal the promsie, little did we know, Manson was easdropping, a devil's smirk, on his lips and eyes.
