SynHawk sits alone on a rock. Looking out upon the midnight black lake. Moonlight draping over his long hair. His eyes wander over the surface, glistening gently green. Like the colour in the depths of the lake. As he sits a small light appears in the sky, glowing gently. As he looks upon the light it starts to grow brighter and draws nearer. His eyes dance with a joy rarely seen, his heart beating faster. After a few minutes the light is lighting up the small clearing and SynHawk’s face is basking in its glow. As the light nears him a shape is clearly visible, it is a figure of a young woman with long, dark red hair. She descends from the sky and lands on the edge of the clearing, a gentle smile on her face. The green light dies gently, leaving them in the moonlight. He slips off the rock and lands on the grass softly, hair draping over his face. She starts towards him, her feet brushing the dew off the grass. As she reaches him their eyes meet and a loving smile appears on both their faces. She lifts her hand to his face. Brushing the hair out of his face, being able to see his dark green eyes. Her hand rests on his cheek and he nuzzles it softly. SynHawk places his hand on hers and spoke softly, almost in a whisper.
“I missed you” She closes her eyes and sighs into the wind
“I missed you too Hawk” He smiles and lifts his other hand to her face. As he does this a single tear falls from her face and he frowns slightly. He pushes her waist long red hair back from her face and smiles at the tear on her cheek. He wipes it away carefully. “Hawk, I” he places a finger over her mouth to soften her voice.
“Shhh, it’s ok” He sneaks his arm around her and pulls her close to him, her arms falling on his shoulders and her head resting carefully next to his neck. He wraps his arms around her and rests one on the back of her head.
“I was so scared Hawk, I didn’t think I would ever see…” her voice trailed off and she starts to cry silently on in his arms. Tears falling down her face and into the soft grass at their feet. Hawk’s hand gently stroked the back of her head. He kissed her ear and whispered to her softly.
“It’s alright, your fine Avia, your safe now, here. I wont let anything happen to you again. I’m sorry” He kissed her neck and held her close, not wanting to let go of her. Minutes, maybe hours passed as they stood there in each others arms.
Eventually Avia raised her head and kissed his cheek as a thank-you. She moved back and rested her forehead against his. Looking deep into his eyes. “Why do you believe in me so much Hawk? I have been nothing but trouble to you” He smiled
“I don’t know, maybe I’m stupid” he moved closer so their lips where almost touching “or maybe” he paused and moved to kiss her “I’m in love” At that their lips met and their eyes closed, hearts beating within their chests. Avia tightened her arms around his neck, holding her lover closer. Hawk smiled to himself as he felt her cling to him and stroked his hand up and down her back. Avia gently shivered in the cold night and Hawk broke the kiss, pulling back gently. “Lets get you out of this cold” Avia rested her head on his shoulder.
“Don’t let go” he hugged her close and whispered to himself rather than Avia
