Is This Death:
Reaching out, but there is nothing there. I stretch and extend my fingers but there is nothing. I open my eyes. So strange, there truly is nothing. Just blackness stretched in all directions. I can't even see my own hand. I breath in deep and steady and try to stand. The moment I do, I'm falling. There is still only darkness, still nothing. The only reason I think that I'm falling is the wind rushing around me so loud I can barely hear. Then, I start to see light below me. It's coming fast and I'm going to die. I hit icy water, but never find the bottom. When I finally swim up, I am blinded with color. A hand reaches out to help me from the water and I take it. The moment my hand touches hers, I am filled with warmth and I know all is well.
